Tier List - Introduction

Neverness To Everness is a game where team building is very important, as everything revolves around picking the right Attributes and Esper Cycles. As a result, rating characters strictly on how they perform within a given category may not give the full picture. As of release, there are two tier lists: general tier list and team tier list. The general tier list you can find on this page by scrolling down, but if you're looking for the team tier list, go here:

Tier List - Information

About the tier list

All characters are ranked according to the role and contribution in teams, as well as how impactful they are to the game's meta. For the story there is no need to be concerned with ratings and tier placements. Players should be able to comfortably progress thought the game so long as a team is built and played correctly.

The main contents taken into consideration for the purpose of the tier list were Beyond the Rails and High Risk Commission.

Categories
  • Damage: Characters whose main purpose is to deal damage, and who also are responsible for the biggest portion of damage within the team.
  • Hybrid: Characters who fulfill two or more roles. They're often sub-DPS while doubling as Enablers, contributing to facilitate the Main DPS's output. In some cases they can double as tanks or give small amounts of support.
  • Support: Characters whose the main focus is to provide buffs, healing or survivability to the team.
Special Tags
  • [Expert]: Characters with this tag have an optimal playstyle that must be mastered for them to be at their best. Without the necessary skills, the character may see a significant drop in performance, lowering their ranking by at least one tier.
  • [Watchlist]: Characters with this tag are marked as highly likely to move up or down a tier in a future update.

General Criteria

The general criteria are structured around the endgame modes Beyond the Rails and High Risk Commission, not open-world content.

Assessment assumes:

  • Level 80
  • Skills at Max level
  • Signature Arc
  • Fully built Console
  • Dupes:
    • A0 for S-Class characters unless stated otherwise.
    • A6 for A-Class characters unless stated otherwise.
Role Criteria

We compare characters within their role (e.g Supports are compared to other Supports), and ratings are adjusted based on their performance in that role. Characters should not be compared between roles, as their ratings are evaluated on varying subsets. If a category has no characters who perform highest or lowest within the meta, some tiers for that category may not have placements.

Damage

  • Primary Influence: Personal damage contribution.
  • Secondary Influence: Ability to handle different encounter types, ranging from single-target to multi-target.

Hybrid

  • Primary Influence: Provides considerable sub-DPS alongside a secondary role, enabling stronger or more fluid rotations.
  • Secondary Influence: Amount of extra utility provided.

Support

  • Primary Influence: Ability to provide substantial buffs or survivability to the team.
  • Secondary Influence: Amount of utility provided, enabling stronger and more optimal rotations.
