Profile
Sweet and Sour
Basic Attack: Tomato Metal
Swings her Frying Pan, performing up to 5 consecutive attacks, dealing Chaos DMG.
The projectile generated by the 2nd attack can be shattered by subsequent attacks, causing an explosion and dealing extra Chaos DMG.
Basic Attack: Tomato Percussion
Manipulates Red Jelly, performing up to 5 consecutive attacks, dealing Chaos DMG.
Flavor Variation
Flavor Variation can be used at any time via the Aim button.
Tosses her Frying Pan and performs a flying kick forward when using Tomato Metal, dealing 1 instance of Chaos DMG to each target hit. Switches her attack module to Tomato Percussion.
Leaps into the air and slams the ground, dealing 1 instance of AoE Chaos DMG when using Tomato Percussion. Switches her attack module to Tomato Metal.
The current Basic Attack style determines the attack pattern of Working Day Judgement.
Basic Attack: Devilish Inspiration
Hold to enter Aim mode. Deals 1 instance of Chaos DMG to an enemy in the crosshair and learns their combat technique.
Temporarily forgets Morning Tomato and uses the learned technique upon successful learning.
Learned techniques are stored permanently in Lacrimosa's memory. New techniques can be learned to replace existing ones, or Lacrimosa can actively forget a technique on the Skill page to recall Morning Tomato.
Basic Attack: Lycopersicum Meteors
Manipulates Esper Ability Constructs in the air and plunges, dealing 1 instance of Chaos DMG to an area upon impact.
Increases DMG based on fall height, up to 100%.
Critical Riposte: fff Rest
Triggers when using Basic Attacks after a Critical Dodge. Seizes the opening created by the enemy's missed attack and violently hurls a large amount of Red Jelly onto the enemy's head, dealing 6 instances of Chaos DMG to an area and reducing Break.
Nightmare
Inflicts Nightmare on the target when attacks hit, up to 10 stacks.
Inflicts 1 stack of Nightmare per damage instance when a single Basic Attack deals multiple instances of damage.
At first, there were no roads. Then Lacrimosa made lots of vehicles and road signs, and suddenly roads appeared. The problem? Too many signs with contradictory rules. How are you supposed to turn left and right at the same time?
Morning Tomato
Skill: Morning Tomato
Ah… Achoo! Throws a barrage of unfinished Esper Ability Constructs, dealing 1 instance of Chaos DMG to all targets within the area and inflicting Nightmare on the targets.
Combos on the 5th instance of Tomato Metal or Tomato Percussion after casting Morning Tomato.
Redirect Skill: Devilish Gift
Lacrimosa... can do it too.
Lacrimosa uses her Esper Ability to copy and cast an enemy's skill, triggering the corresponding additional effects. The skill duration matches that of the original owner. During the cast, Lacrimosa cannot move, but she can manually cancel the cast or switch to another character. Lacrimosa takes damage if she is attacked during the cast.
Casting Devilish Gift grants Lacrimosa a percentage of the original skill owner's ATK.
"Ah, Lacrimosa… didn't mean to…"
"Haha, nice work there, Mosa! Let's have Skia buy you some ice cream!"
"Baicang, nosy: ice cream — three scoops…"
Working Day Judgement
Controls the Truck when using Tomato Metal, dealing 10 instances of Chaos DMG to an area and inflicting Nightmare on all targets in range.
Dismantles the Car when using Tomato Percussion, dealing 5 instances of Chaos DMG to an area and inflicting Nightmare on all targets in range.
A friendly reminder from Barracuda, BAC's Professional Maintenance Staff: ETD-4 has exhausted their free maintenance quota for this month. Future repair costs will be deducted from the performance bonus of those who file the requests. CERTAIN team members are kindly reminded to take better care of Bureau property, especially non-reinforced glass items and sensitive electronic equipment. CERTAIN team members needing items from the vending machine should seek assistance from their squad captain or lieutenant.
Microwake
Lacrimosa get this done, and Lacrimosa get to sleep — Manipulates Esper Ability Constructs, dealing 1 instance of Chaos DMG to an area.
Lacrimosa couldn't care less about villain arcs and tragic backstories. She just wants to clock out and go home to sleep.
Tomato Banquet
Discord Enhancement: Deals additional DMG equal to 400% of ATK to the target when Discord is triggered, if the target is already Broken.
Weekday morning alarms… magic, mess with memory.
"So this is your excuse for being late?"
"Alarm 1, Alarm 2, Lacrimosa turned them all off. But… ah… Lacrimosa can't remember…"
Sleep In
Grants 1 additional attempt of Morning Tomato after Lacrimosa uses Tomato Metal or Tomato Percussion 5 times during the skill cooldown. Activates only 1 time per skill cooldown.
One person's sweet dream can be another's nightmare. Makes you wonder… why don't people wake themselves up with their sleep talking?

Review
Good at both ST and AoE scenarios.
Wide kit, with a high variety of ways to approach gameplay.
Can still be useful as a cycle enabler and off-field DPS (through DoTs) if she has at least one dupe.
The passive that increases the amount of income from Pink Paws Heist helps considerably with the grind.
Doesn’t offer any utility to the team outside of damage unless she has her A6.
She demands too much field time to build stacks and do her job compared to most other DPS characters, unless she has dupes.
Lacrimosa is a Chaos Main DPS, with a focus on DoT. This makes her suitable for the Scorch, Nova, and Discord teams. Ideally, a perfect team should aim for Discord to take advantage of her passive, but if you can only focus on either Scorch or Nova for whatever reason, Scorch takes priority. This happens because of Lacrimosa’s own focus on DoT and synergy with characters that improve DoT effects, such as Sakiri. For those looking to invest more than her base copy, her A6 (“Morning Spell”) allows her to perform instant cycles, keeping her useful even if her damage gets powercrept.
Beyond that, Lacrimosa also offers both melee and ranged attack modes, making her fairly versatile in terms of gameplay. Outside of combat, she can turn into a bat and fly by holding the dodge button. This can be useful for exploration, but it still costs stamina, and if your goal is merely climbing, Nanally still does a far better job at that. She can increase your Fons and Pink Paws Coins by up to 20% in Pink Paws Heist, and her bat form can go through the lasers, making the grind there easier. Finally, her other Life Skill is a Cafe skill that adds a new special dish to Owner’s Selection. While a nice addition, it doesn’t beat the Baicang + Nanally combo for grinding that mode.
Another gimmick worth mentioning but not that useful in practice is Lacrimosa’s ability to mimic an enemy. By holding the attack button, she can temporarily ‘record’ the target’s appearance and one of their movesets. Her skill then is overwritten by that until she replaces it with another one or by actively forgetting it from her skill menu. This is a fun and unique way to explore the game, but for players looking to optimize their rotation and combat, it’s easier to just ignore it.
TL;DR, Lacrimosa brings a wide variety of tricks up her sleeve, but unless you’re interested in any of the Chaos reactions, she isn’t a must-pull. If you like any of those reactions, however, she’s a valuable addition to your account, with plenty to take advantage of.
Lacrimosa’s main mechanic is called [Nightmare]. This is a Damage Over Time debuff that can be applied through all of her moves. [Nightmare] deals Chaos damage and can stack up to 10 times, with a fixed 50% crit rate. It can fully take advantage of Sakiri’s buffs.
She has two attack modes that can be freely toggled, one melee and one ranged. The ranged mode can reach higher outputs through animation cancels. If you dodge cancel half way through the 4th attack, it will still go off, thus allowing for faster attack cycles. Unfortunately, this doesn’t work with Lacrimosa’s second passive. When making use of that for the extra skill reset, you need to perform the full melee basic attack sequence. Since this can only be triggered once per skill cooldown, you can then switch back to ranged mode. Do keep in mind that the aim of this sequence is to fully optimize damage. You can ignore it and play with whatever mode you feel more comfortable with or is more suitable for the current encounter.
The key to Lacrimosa’s gameplay is mastering her basic attacks. A good chunk of her damage comes from them, and she performs an extra move when switching modes. To summarize, use melee mode once each skill cooldown, then animation cancel after the 4th attack of the ranged mode.
Although Lacrimosa’s mimic mechanic can be very clunky most of the time, remember that you can switch to **any** of the already registered enemies anytime through her skill menu. In some cases it’s worth using moves from enemies like Headless Rider’s for the extra ATK bonus from Devilish Gift. However, if you have her A3 passive active, this gimmick is always useless, since by overwriting Morning Tomato, you won’t be able to trigger the passive that combos the skill to her 5th basic attack, triggering the damage from all Nightmare stacks as well.
She has a special combo with Baicang, essentially adding an extra skill to the rotation when swapping to him.
Best Build

For NTE calculations we worked alongside Rivyn Elowen. Any other content such as comments on Arcs, Modules, etc are our own.
Lacrimosa best Arcs (Weapons) are placed in order of what fits their playstyle the most. Check the comments to get additional context. Also, if you go to the Calculations tab, you will find information about the team setup used for the calculations.
Crit Rate > Chaos DMG %* > Crit DMG > ATK %
Crit DMG > Crit Rate > DMG % > ATK % > Flat ATK
Chaos DMG main stat will perform better than Crit Rate when vertically investing into Lacrimosa due to how DoTs have a fixed 50% Crit Rate. The higher percentage of your damage Nightmare is, the better Chaos DMG % will be.
HP: 20,000+
ATK: 2200+
Crit Rate: 50% ~ 80%+
Crit DMG: 100%+ (out of combat)
Universal DMG: 10%+
Chaos DMG: 50% ~ 87.5%+
