Sigh… break time's over again. Now then, let's wrap this up quickly, shall we?
Moderate Working

In combat, when Fadia's HP drops below 20%, Baicang attacks the enemy 1 time, heals Fadia 1 time, and generates 1 Power Word Silence on target. Cooldown: 30s.
Switching to Baicang while Lacrimosa is in bat form can trigger 1 super jump for Baicang.
Sure, we're all a bunch of eccentric weirdos who do our own thing, but we have our moments of perfect teamwork too. Spend enough time together, and your body starts to remember each other's habits and movements. What was that just now? Why, that was ETD-4's passionate combo, of course!
[Silence]: Triggers after Silenced Thought hits. Deals high single-target damage when activated during Judgment of Autumn.

Review
Versatile, works well both against single-enemies, bosses and groups of mobs.
Can execute low-HP targets instantly.
Basic Attacks can help group enemies.
Has self-sustain if played properly.
Shop management buffs and can bonk customers.
Looks silly with a sunflower head.
High skill ceiling, can be difficult to play and keep track of all his Power Words and stacks.
Sacrifices self-HP when attacking, which may play against him unless the player manages to use Bless consistently.
Execute only triggers during his Ult.
Baicang is a Damage Dealer of the Incantation attribute, focused on Damage-over-Time through Esper Cycles (Scorch) and Burst Damage through his Power Words + Ult. He’s notoriously one of the most complex characters to play during launch, with a high skill ceiling based on how you use his combos and skills. His mechanic is called “Power Words”, and can be broken down into three types of effects: Bless, Silence, and Objurgate. Although all this variety woven into his kit may seem confusing at first, it can become instinctual once the mechanic is broken down.
Starting with Bless, this Power Word comes from Baicang’s Basic Attacks. It can be broken down into “Formless Words” and “Unrestrained Words”. Whenever any of these trigger, the target will be marked by a [Green] hanzi. While “Formless Words” is more focused on dealing damage in area, “Unrestrained Words” is capable of locking an enemy in the air. Beyond that, “Formless Words” is also capable of pulling enemies towards Baicang.
Silence and Objurgate can both be triggered with Baicang’s skill, depending on how you use it. Using the skill right after pressing dodge triggers Silence, a status effect that will remain latched to the target and deal high single-target damage once Baicang uses his ultimate. It can be easily identified by a [Red] hanzi on the target. Objurgate works similarly, however, it will be generated if Baicang’s skill is used after triggering Formless Words or Unrestrained Words instead. This will also create a [Red] hanzi, but instead, the symbol will float just above the ground. When Baicang uses his ultimate, Objurgate will then deal AoE damage in the area around the symbol.
Finally, Baicang’s ultimate is the kind of ability that requires a bit o preparation to make the most of it. Once the ult is activated, it will instantly detonate all Power Words placed before it as well as throughout its duration.
In short, his gameplay can be simplified to the following:
Before starting your combos, especially if there are many enemies, you can click and hold the attack button to drag the enemies near to you and group them up.
Hold any walking direction + dodge before pressing the attack button to lock enemies in the air.
Ideally you want to stack 3 green symbols + 1 red symbol on the enemy before using the ultimate.
Baicang’s ultimate can also be used as a tool to help with his survivability, since Bless will heal him while the ult is active.
Against bosses, after you trigger the ultimate, it’s more effective to simply spam the basic attack button and use the skill whenever available to maximize his damage and HP regeneration.
Obviously, you can optimize your damage and rotation by making use of dodges to trigger the Power Words more often, as well as taking advantage of buffers like Sakiri who will buff both his ATK and DoT, and consistently applying Esper Cycles. For Baicang, the best one to take advantage of is Scorch, which makes Chaos characters recommended for his team compositions.
Finally, another mechanic you can take advantage of is Baicang’s Execution. It instantly kills any enemy with 10% HP or under (5% for bosses). It only takes effect once his ult is activated, however, it can be particularly useful if you are underleveled, dealing with timed endgame modes or to finalize large groups of enemies all at once. You can also opt to chip away the HP of enemies with another character and then switch to him to finalize the fight swiftly. This makes Baicang very friendly for F2P players if they’re willing to learn the waltz of his combos.
Baicang generates an extra instance of Scorch whenever he triggers any Power Word on an enemy already affected by Scorch. This makes him particularly valuable for Scorch teams even if you’re using him merely as an enabler/Sub-DPS.
Baicang has special combos with Skia, Fadia, and Lacrimosa. With Skia, Baicang automatically inflicts one instance of Silence if you switch to him while Skia is in Stealth mode. With Fadia, if Fadia’s HP drops below 20%, Baicang automatically heals her and generates Silence on the target. Finally, switching to Baicang while Lacrimosa is in her bat form will trigger a jump combo.

Teams & Synergy
Scorch Team
This team focuses on cycling all 3 of the Incantation units with Daffodill to stack and maintain Scorch. Biacang will be the one taking up the most field time on this team and deal a majority of the damage.
Hex Team
The goal of this team is to cycle through everyone and keep up Hex 100% of the time. Baicang and Nanally will be the dps in this dual-dps setup.
Awakening & Calculations
In NTE, you can freely choose Awakening Effects, so you are not forced to unlock them in a specific order, and you can unselect them at any time.
A1 > A6 > A2 > A3 > A5 = A4
Baicang doesn’t need any dupes to perform his job well, but that being said, he gains a massive buff and a secondary role as support if he has all of them. This happens because his Resonance 2 bonus grants all allies a flat buff of +20% ATK and the Execution effect during Baicang’s ult.
His other Awakening effects are very powerful as well, with obvious upgrades to his performance overall. A1 gives a flat 30% skill damage bonus and reduces skill cooldown, which is essential when his rotation revolves around spamming his skill to stack Power Words as fast as possible in order to set up his ult. A6 is also notorious for its 30% CRIT Rate bonus as Baicang is reliant on CRIT as one of his main stats to ensure his bursts. A2 is yet another flat buff that can reach +24% ATK, while the other three Awakenings are merely QoL that can make him more consistent and increase his own sustainability.
Among those, A5 deserves special attention in the odd chance that you end up getting his R2. It increases the duration of his ult’s field effect from 10 to 16, which makes very comfy to activate, switch him out, and let your other characters take advantage of the ATK buff and Execution effect for a relatively long time and indirectly turning Baicang into a solid support choice.
