Review
Strong free main DPS, including full copies being obtainable without spending
High damage ceiling when Grain is managed properly
Can stay active while swapping characters during her multi-cast Redirect Skill sequence
Awakening and Resonance improve both Grain generation and damage conversion.
Deals a lot of damage.
Shop management buffs.
Mechanically complex, especially around Grain timing and Grain Market optimization.
A bit of a selfish DPS.
Chiz is a Cosmo Attribute character with a damage role who is completely free, including her copies. This review will reflect that. She is one of the more complicated characters in the game, but she is a strong damage dealer.
To keep things as clear as possible, I will try not to overwhelm you with various term names and will focus on their effects, though I will still need to mention multiple terms.
She relies on a mechanic called Grain. Grain is generated through basic attacks, be it the regular or held variation, with the held version being capable of devouring small mobs. You also gain Fons alongside that (yes, the currency). Grain is consumed when you use your held Redirect Skill: Pink Paws Priority Principle, with the damage dealt being based on the amount of Grain owned.
When you use Chiz's Ultimate: Zero-Sum Game to enter what is called the Grain Market, you will see a visual indicator at the bottom middle of the screen. It looks like a stock market chart, and that is the Grain Price. It will fluctuate, meaning you want to make sure you hit the highest value on the chart so that you can gain the most Grain for powerful skill attacks when your Grain is at its peak.
Her Redirect Skill can also be charged up to 3 stacks, and if you press it consecutively, you will sequentially cast Redirect Skill: No Grain, Redirect Skill: Half Grain, and Redirect Skill: Full Grain, up to 3 consecutive casts. You can switch characters while this is happening, and Chiz will still remain on the field until the attack finishes. This allows for dual-DPS setups, although Chiz will often demand a lot of field time herself, since she's a self-contained DPS.
Let's talk about her awakenings also since they're all free.
Chiz’s Awakening and Resonance improve her Grain system in multiple ways. Some increase max Grain or start her with it already built, while others boost how fast she generates it during combat. A few improve overall efficiency, making her build Grain more smoothly. On the damage side, they strengthen how Grain converts into Cosmos damage, and her Resonance also adds extra Grain gain and a Cosmos resistance debuff on enemies, boosting both her damage and team value.
Chiz is a main DPS whose passives support that role. Hanahaki provides Charge to the active character, which is usually herself, while Hoarding increases her Charge efficiency so she can stockpile it while on the field. She is a selfish DPS built around managing her own Grain economy. She works best with teammates who can provide buffs without depending on Charge.
Please note that the Crit. Rate stat doesn't benefit her. Her ult can already guarantee a Crit with a built-in mechanic, and her Skill can't crit, thus making that stat basically useless for her. However, due to the guaranteed crit on Ult, Crit DMG remains relevant. Another thing to take into consideration, since her signature weapon is free, remember to keep at least one million Fons in your account at all times to make the best use of its passive.

Teams & Synergy
Charge Team
Chiz Hypercarry Team
Chiz · Zero (MC) · Jiuyuan · Hathor
A Cosmos, Anima, and Lakshana Charge team built around maximising Chiz's Grain Market mechanic and Zero-Sum Game Ultimate, supported by Jiuyuan's Blossom procs and Hathor's Ultimate.
Zero (MC): Start with MC using their Redirect Skill.
Chiz: Swap to Chiz to use her Ultimate (Zero-Sum Game) and enter the Surplus State.
Chiz: Press the 1st Redirect Skill button when the Grain Market bar is in the positive. (The 2nd and 3rd Redirect Skills can be pressed at -5% or better.)
Chiz: After using all of Chiz's Redirect Skills, swap to Jiuyuan.
Jiuyuan: Use Jiuyuan's Ultimate (Final Reckoning) and Redirect Skill. By now MC's Redirect Skill should be nearly off cooldown.
Zero (MC): Swap to MC, then swap from MC to Jiuyuan to trigger a Blossom, then go back to MC.
Zero (MC): Use MC's Redirect Skill and Ultimate, then swap to Hathor to trigger Charge.
Hathor: If Hathor has enough feathers (Express Delivery Power stacks), use her Ultimate (Rider Express) immediately; otherwise use her Redirect Skill (Aerial Command) first.
Hathor: Use her enhanced Redirect Skill combo (Cyclone Strike) if available.
Chiz: Swap to Chiz to use 2 charges of her Redirect Skill while waiting for Charge to tick up her Ultimate energy.
Repeat from the first step.
If you are lucky with the Grain Market, you can use four Redirect Skills within the 7-second Surplus window.
If the Grain Market starts unfavorably, swap to another character and use a quick Redirect Skill or Support Skill while waiting to get into the positive.
Chiz's held 2nd Redirect Skill (Half Grain) deals significant additional damage and can be used when a boss is nearing death and you do not need to replenish the Grain it costs.
