Character
Introduction

Fatutu is a 6 rarity character from the Mineral afflatus who deals Mental damage and belongs to the Survival class.

Fatutu is the primary healer for Follow-Up based teams. Like Kakania, she is able to redistribute DMG Taken and has an egregious amount of healing output similar to Sotheby(E). If you’re looking to complete your non-Windsong FUA teams, Fatutu is someone to look forward to as she provides additional Follow-Ups and a very strong FUA debuff.

Fatutu is a 6✦ rarity Arcanist from the Mineral afflatus whose kit is oriented around enhancing the DMG Dealt of Follow-Up Attacks and providing massive amounts of sustain.

Her primary gimmick is [Spirit Shell]. This is a stacking debuff that increases DMG Taken and Crit DMG Taken from Follow-Ups by 5% per stack. The gimmick here is that whenever an enemy with this debuff is hit, Fatutu bounces a stack from them to herself. When Fatutu takes damage, she bounces a stack of it to the attacker. The benefit here is that whenever she retrieves stacks of the debuff she heals all allies and has a 20% chance to gain Moxie whenever she inflicts the debuff.

The easiest way to inflict this debuff is through “Unmendable Cracks”, her first incantation, which applies 3 stacks of it and also dispels 1 random debuff from all allies. Whenever she retrieves 7 stacks of [Spirit Shell], she’ll cast a rank 1 version of this as a Follow-Up.

Let’s move right on to her Ultimate: “Proverb of the Sea”. This is a single-target nuke that inflicts all [Spirit Shell] stacks from Fatutu onto the target and also inflicts [Shell Beacon]. This debuff makes it so that whenever Fatutu retrieves [Spirit Shell], the same amount of stacks is reapplied onto the attacker (making it essentially infinite).

While a majority of her sustain comes from retrieving [Spirit Shell] stacks, her “Ocean in the Shell” incantation is incredibly good at it too. First, she equally divides all allies’ HP equally (which counts as HP Loss, making her a viable option for Semmelweis) and then applies [Shared Shells, Shared Fate] to all allies. This buff redistributes DMG Taken by the team across all party members. Finally, she retrieves all [Spirit Shell] stacks, triggering her passive healing.

Gameplay

Setting aside personal preferences (god she has such a good character design), Fatutu is pretty insane as far as Healers go. With the Moxie randomly gained from [Spirit Shell] bounces and the decent uptime on [Shell Beacon] she is comfortably able to optimize her Follow-Up debuff at the same time as providing massive amounts of passive healing.

In combination with Flutterpage’s ridiculous Follow-Up boosts, she allows characters 37, Lilya(E) and Jiu Niangzi to stay high in the rankings. Plus having her own Follow-Ups means that her teams have a lower threshold for how many Follow-Ups they need, aiding in some team versatility.

But that’s not all. Due to some funny coding interactions the HP redistribution from “Ocean in the Shell” and the DMG redistribution from [Shared Shells, Shared Fate] both count towards stacking HP Loss oriented allies, making her a very strong option for Semmelweis Carry by quickly stacking “Truth Revealed” to do some very competitive numbers.

It is also the only other form of DMG redistribution next to Kakania, and we know how strong it made that character as a defensive anchor.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Very powerful sustain by redistributing DMG Taken between all allies and having very consistent and surprisingly high passive healing. Makes her usable even outside Follow-Up teams.

  • Access to personal Follow-Up Attacks both helps Flutterpage teams and makes stacking [Spirit Shell] very easy.

  • Semi-consistent cycling of [Shell Beacon] allows her to upkeep massive Follow-Up debuffs while triggering her Insight 1 for healing and Moxie generation.

Cons

  • [Spirit Shell] gets bounced even when hit by a non-FUA attack which won’t benefit from the effects.

  • Loses all her offensive support if not put in a Follow-Up oriented team.

Cracks in the Shell is Fatutu's signature psychube. It gives +12% Healing Bonus and a party-wide 14.4% Critical DMG buff at base, which is really good.

That Inquisitive Dear is the old reliable option for any healer. Fatutu has a debuff and can trigger the passive. Really good substitute.

Beyond Wonderland is also a great backup option that's been around forever. The same amount of Healing Bonus as her signature but with a little Crit Rate and some Max HP.

Melodies Old and New is Fatutu's anecdote psychube. It's got +12 Healing Bonus and a little bit of party-wide DMG Bonus.

Off the Scene is an interesting supportive option. 10% DMG Bonus to all allies is a great buff. 8% HP and 36% Reality DEF can help Fatutu's survivability, too.

About the team

Undeniably intensely powerful, the Bloodtithe team is something both safe and risky. Nautika and Semmelweis cause HP levels to bounce frequently, leveled ou by Fatutu's insane defensive abilities through DMG Share, healing and Nautika's [Higge] and defensive buffs. It generates Bloodtithe quickly, allowing for 2 round "Divine Joik" cycles that deal an absolutely ungodly amount of damage while under Semmelweis' Array and through Sentinel's powerful amping and consistent [Bloodtithe] generation. Flutterpage can sometimes be used in place for Sentinel.

Characters
Ezio Auditore

Fatutu
Lopera
About the team

Ezio on VF-BK or VF-SK. This team is focused on triggering S1 FUAs from Ezio with [Assassin's Mark] and Ripostes. With that comes the standard FUA core of FP+Fatutu, greatly increasing every FUA and Riposte that Ezio throws out while Lopera remains semi-AFK while providing various offensive buffs and her Array, allowing Ezio to set up his damage cycles and Flutterpage to more easily charge her Ultimate. Lopera is definitely the flex slot here, being able to swap into things like Mercuria, Liang Yue if you want more proactive FUAs, Argus in single-target situations and Semmelweis if you're fishing for [Shadowstalk] procs. Note that Kassandra will most likely grab this slot once we know more about her.

Fatutu
About the team

JNZ's high frequency of FUAs in her channel easily builds [Gust] and keeps [Shell Beacon] at a high uptime and her damage is further facilitated through [Adieu! Mother Earth], stacked [Spirit Shell] and +FUA DMG Dealt. This combined with her how +Incan Might stacking and now easy access to [Liquor] makes this team the highest freq FUA team in the game. In addition, this makes it very sustainable through the ridiculous amount of [Spirit Shell] bounces. Lastly, Sentinel generates a bunch of Crit Rate for all allies which is never a bad thing, though she can be swapped out for characters like Pickles(E).

Characters
Kakania
Flutterpage
Fatutu
About the team

With Fatutu on TID and Kakania in Pos1 you're generally making any team extremely solid for whatever content you're pushing (especially Mane's Bulletin and Reveries). The TID heals getting triggered on Kakania will active the Mass Genesis DMG passive on her Insight 1, which is enough to clear most fights over-time on its own and benefits from Flutterpage's [Gust]. Works best with FUAers like Lucy, Liang Yue, Jiu Niangzi and Impromptu (not FUA but frequent hits to trigger "Unmendable Cracks" FUAs).

About the team

Capitalizes on 37 and FP as extremely AP+ FUA Supports to give LY the leniency to cycle [Qiangliang] even at P0. The obvious buffs from FP and Fatutu apply here, with the high frequency of FUAs allowing for high "Supplementary Formula" output. In addition, Green Zone allowing [Continuous Action I] to run for 2 rounds is a god sent for teams surrounding LY, while the Red Zone allows for great output from 37 and Fatutu [Spirit Shell] stacking. 37 can be traded for Anjo Nala for riskier but smoother Ult cycling.

Fatutu
About the team

Contracted: 37 or Fatutu. Utilizes 37s' abundant Mass DMG with Anjo Nala's frequent Mass FUAs to set up a cycle of control with 1 round gaps (or a permanent cc cycle if you have Portraits on your 37) with FP and Fatutu as standard FUA Support core. Flutterpage massively increase 37's Genesis DMG Output through [Gust] and Fatutu's [Spirit Shell] shreds DMG RES against FUA at a ridiculous pace (and on permanent uptime through the amount of FUAs). 37 can also be traded out for Lilya or Jiu Niangzi.
