Introduction

Isolde is a 6 rarity character from the Spirit afflatus who deals Reality damage and belongs to the Support class.

An efficient [Burn] applicator and a strong Reality DEF and Crit DEF debuffer, Isolde is a powerful offensive support who deals a good amount of damage herself as well. As enemy [Burn] stacks resolve at the end of the turn, Isolde gains [Heat] stacks that allow her [Prelude] status to first change into [Interlude], then [Finale]. [Interlude] unlocks her extra attack [Intermezzo] while [Finale] grants all allies [Power Burst] at the beginning of each turn. Not only can Isolde significantly increase a team's damage output, but she can also allow the main DPS to run "Blasphemer of Night" thanks to her easy [Burn] application.

Preignition

Before attacking, for each stack, inflicts 1 stack of [Burn] on the target (remove all after trigger).

Power Burst

DMG Bonus +25% when attacking (-1 stack after trigger).

Review

Isolde is a 6-star Arcanist of the Spirit Afflatus, and is the first new 6-star for Spirit since launch. She is a debuffer Support that is centered around the [Burn] debuff. Her main mechanic is actually part of her Insight where, at the start of the battle, she enters [Prelude]. While in this state, she grants 3 stacks of [Preignition] to allies every turn that allow them to apply [Burn], half of which she then transforms into [Heat] at the end of the round. As the enemy accumulates 15 [Heat], Isolde swaps to [Interlude], which gives her the ability to cast FUAs called [Intermezzo], and after 40 stacks she enters [Finale], granting allies [Power Burst] every round and enhancing her own damage on top of the previous phases. Her Ultimate, called “Choking On Blood” inflicts 5 [Burn] on enemies (double that on the primary target) and grants all allies a stack of [Rousing Morale]. She then casts [Intermezzo], the FUA from her Insight, which deals extra damage based on the amount of [Burn] on the enemy. Her skills are pretty simple. Her “Twirling Melody” incantation is a Mass attack that inflicts [Burn] and has extra Pen Rate based on which phase Isolde is in. Meanwhile, “Desired Freedom” inflicts a powerful -Crit DEF and -Reality DEF debuff on all enemies. Gameplay

There is a lot going on in Isolde's kit, and all of it is excellent. Performance wise, people compare her to being effectively a Damage Dealer that happens to put most of her eggs in the Support basket. Her access to consistent [Burn] application on its own raises Spathodea out of her awkward spot of lacking [Burn] support. Even though part of her debuff card shreds only Reality DEF, her FUA and -Crit DEF debuff allow her to be flexed into teams with 37 (and Windsong) as well. [Rousing Morale] and [Power Burst] are also rare buffs to be giving out that stack with other +DMG Dealt related buffs, and she becomes AP-positive once in the [Interlude] state, which gives her a spot in very AP-negative teams. Everything in her kit is geared towards absolute offense. There we have it! One of the most popular Supports that a great portion of the community have eagerly been waiting for ever since her reveal on the CN server. If you are lacking a powerful offensive Support, Isolde is one of the most reliable.

“Knock on the Door” is Isolde's signature psychube and works perfectly with her kit.

“Blasphemer of Night” is easy for Isolde to activate since [Burn] is a [Neg Stat].

As a Spirit character, Isolde can also benefit from “Balance, Please.” However, her Ultimate doesn't do damage—her FUA does—so she loses out on the Ultimate Might this psychube provides.
