Quadruple Time Steps
Basic Attack
Perform up to 4 consecutive attacks, dealing Aero DMG. Basic Attack Stage 4 inflicts 1 stack of Aero Erosion upon the target hit.
When the first three stages of Ciaccona's Basic Attack are interrupted by dodging, press Basic Attack in time to resume the attack cycle and cast the corresponding Basic Attack stage.
After Basic Attack Stage 4, Ciaccona starts a Solo Concert. If Ciaccona's Basic Attack Stage 4 or Solo Concert ends early (proactively or being interrupted), an Ensemble Sylph is generated.
Solo Concert
When Ciaccona or Ensemble Sylph performs Solo Concert, they give 24% Aero DMG Bonus to all nearby Resonators in the team. This effect is not stackable.
Ensemble Sylph
Up to 2 Ensemble Sylphs may exist simultaneously.
If Ciaccona's Basic Attack Stage 4 is interrupted, the Ensemble Sylphs generated will finish the attack for Ciaccona and enter Solo Concert.
If Ciaccona's Solo Concert is interrupted, the Ensemble Sylphs generated will continue the Solo Concert for Ciaccona.
Aside from the two situations mentioned above, Ensemble Sylphs generated by Resonance Skill will finish Ciaccona's current attack without entering Solo Concert.
Heavy Attack
Consume STA to jump into mid-air and attack the target, dealing Aero DMG.
Aimed Attack
Press Aim to enter Aiming Mode to fire charged shots, dealing Aero DMG, considered Heavy Attack DMG.
Mid-air Attack
Consume STA to perform up to 2 consecutive attacks, dealing Aero DMG.
Press Normal Attack after Mid-air Attack Stage 2 to cast Basic Attack Stage 4.
Dodge Counter
Follow up successful Dodges with Basic Attack to attack the target, dealing Aero DMG.
Harmonic Allegro
Move a certain distance, dealing Aero DMG and inflicting 1 stack of Aero Erosion on the target upon hit.
Press Normal Attack in time to cast Basic Attack Stage 2.
When Ciaccona interrupts Basic Attack, Heavy Attack, Mid-air Attack, or Solo Concert with Resonance Skill, an Ensemble Sylph is generated.
Ciaccona's Resonance Skill can be cast in mid-air.
Singer's Triple Cadenza
Ciaccona and Ensemble Sylphs perform an Improvised Symphonic Poem together, dealing Aero DMG once to the nearby targets and entering Recital.
Recital
When in Recital, sound waves will periodically radiate around Ciaccona. When the sound wave overlaps with the circle indicator, press the green or yellow buttons to generate Symphonic Poem: Tonic of the corresponding color and recover a certain amount of Concerto Energy.
During Recital
Switching to another Resonator doesn't end Recital, but automatically generates a Symphonic Poem: Tonic matching the color of the last generated Tonic before switching. A green Symphonic Poem: Tonic is generated by default if no interaction input is given before switching to another Resonator.
Ciaccona is immune to interruptions and takes 50% less DMG.
Exit Recital by pressing Resonance Liberation again or switching Ciaccona back onto the field.
Ensemble Sylphs can now directly grant Aero DMG Bonus provided by Solo Concert.
Symphonic Poem: Tonic
Green Tonic: Deal Aero DMG to nearby targets and inflict a stack of Aero Erosion on targets hit.
Yellow Tonic: Deal Aero DMG to nearby targets and inflict a stack of Spectro Frazzle on targets hit.
Symphony of Wind and Verse
Heavy Attack - Quadruple Downbeat
When there are 3 segments of Musical Essence, Heavy Attack is replaced with Heavy Attack - Quadruple Downbeat.
Consume all Musical Essence to shoot Downbeat Notes forward to deal Aero DMG, pulling in the nearby targets and inflicting 1 stack of Aero Erosion on the target hit.
Heavy Attack - Quadruple Downbeat can be cast in mid-air close to the ground.
Musical Essence
Ciaccona can hold up to 3 segments of Musical Essence.
Casting Basic Attack Stage 4 or Intro Skill recovers 1 segment of Musical Essence.
Interlude Tune
Casting Resonance Liberation Singer's Triple Cadenza grants Ciaccona a Shield equal to 100% of her Max HP for 4s. Switching out Ciaccona removes the Shield.
Winds of Rinascita
Increase Heavy Attack - Quadruple Downbeat's DMG by 30%.
Roaming with the Wind
Attack the target to deal Aero DMG and inflict a stack of Aero Erosion.
Follow up with Basic Attack in time to cast Basic Attack Stage 3.
Windcalling Tune
Aero Erosion DMG dealt to targets near the active Resonator is Amplified by 100% for 30s.
Sequence Node 1
Casting Resonance Skill Harmonic Allegro grants Ciaccona immunity to interruption for 3s. Casting Basic Attack increases Ciaccona's ATK by 35% for 10s.
Sequence Node 2
During Resonance Liberation Singer's Triple Cadenza, Resonators in the team gain 40% Aero DMG Bonus.
Sequence Node 3
Casting Basic Attack Stage 4 additionally grants 1 segments of Musical Essence. Resonance Skill Harmonic Allegro gains 1 more charge.
Sequence Node 4
Ciaccona ignores 45% of the targets' DEF when dealing damage with Heavy Attack Quadruple Downbeat.
Ciaccona ignores 45% of the targets' DEF when dealing Resonance Liberation DMG.
Sequence Node 5
Gain 40% Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus.
DMG taken by Resonators within and around the range of Resonance Liberation Singer's Triple Cadenza is reduced by 30%.
Sequence Node 6
When in Solo Concert, Ciaccona or Ensemble Sylph deals Aero DMG equal to 220% of Ciaccona's ATK to nearby targets, considered Resonance Liberation DMG.

Please keep in mind Wuthering Waves is a skill-based game and each character has a different playstyle, difficulty level and even special tricks and combos. Wuthering Waves is also a team based game and it's only by combining both these factors to the highest level a character can reach optimal performance.
Tower of Adversity
Whimpering Wastes
Quick rotations with great damage output. Pretty refreshing compared to the wave of Hybrids with longer rotations that recently released;
Fits in several teams thanks to being able to apply both Spectro Frazzle and Aero Erosion as well as buff Aero DMG via Solo Concert/Gusts of Welkin/Signature weapon;
Damage over time actually contributes a good amount of off-field damage for once, including her small waves of damage when singing;
Aero Erosion and Spectro Frazzle from Ultimate apply repeatedly off-field, even across multiple waves of enemies;
Rotations don’t suffer much from being interrupted by enemies as dodges don’t reset Basic Attack chains;
High potential for cancelling & improving her rotation (not too difficult to do either) — good baseline, great ceiling;
Sequence value is low, meaning S0 allows her to already get close to full potential (can be a con if you’re interested in Sequences though).
The impact of her Outro is really low unless paired with Aero Rover (clunky character);
May need you to build 2 separate Echo Sets for her to access her team flexibility (Gusts of Welkin is only used in Aero teams, Moonlit Clouds for general use);
Sings during her Ultimate which replaces a potentially epic battle theme by a silly song (can be a pro to some).
Ciaccona is a 5-star Aero Pistol DPS whose primary point of interest is her ability to apply both Spectro Frazzle and Aero Erosion (mostly via her Ultimate). She amplifies Aero Erosion DMG and boosts Aero DMG in several ways, and is characterized by her ability to rotate quickly while retaining an off-field presence, similar to Coordinated Attackers (even though she isn’t one).
We’ll go through her abilities in order of how we execute them in her rotation. Her kit is honestly pretty simplistic, so this won’t take long.
Her Intro skill allows her to skip instantly to Basic Attack stage 3 — this is important because stage 4 is the only important part of her Basic chain. Beyond that, it applies 1 stack of Aero Erosion, and like other Intros it generates a good chunk of Concerto Energy and does minor damage quickly.
Her Basic Attack stage 1 and 2 are pretty much never used, so only stage 3 and 4 matter. Stage 4 can be interrupted by several means, the primary method we use for this is with a dash. Why it’s important to do so is because it generates a wind clone of Ciaccona called an “Ensemble Sylph”. These Ensemble Sylphs have the effect of activating a “Solo Concert” which gives all party members 24% Aero DMG Bonus as long as the Ensemble Sylph is present. On top of this, the Ensemble Sylph will fully complete Ciaccona’s Basic Attack 4 even if it is cancelled, so you can cancel it at no loss. The duration of Ensemble Sylphs is permanent, but only 2 can exist at any given time. Due to this, you can pretty much consider this buff’s uptime as permanent. Note however that Solo Concert will not be activated on the specific condition that Ciaccona’s Basic Attack 4 is cancelled with her Skill.
An interesting perk of the feature which causes Ciaccona to resume her Basic Attack sequence if it is interrupted is that you will start from Basic Attack 3 after cancelling a Basic Attack 4 with a dash. This means you can chain Basic Attack 3-4 together by repeatedly dash cancelling. We make use of this in her rotation to shorten it a great amount.
The reason why we do Basic Attack 4 is for 3 things:
Charging up 1 of 3 Forte Circuit stacks called “Musical Essence” (we explain this later);
Activating Solo Concert;
Applying 1 stack of Aero Erosion while generating Concerto Energy.
Ciaccona’s Resonance Skill is similar to her Basic 4 in terms of applying 1 stack of Aero Erosion, other than that it’s a quick boost to her Concerto Energy which we make good use of.
After building up 3 Forte stacks total, including 1 from her Intro and 2 from her Basic 4 done 2 times, we can cast a special Forte Heavy Attack called “Quadruple Downbeat”. It generates a massive 25 Concerto Energy, a necessary boost to finish Ciaccona’s rotation. On top of this, it deals a great amount of damage and applies 1 more Aero Erosion stack. It also has the additional effect of gathering enemies in its center by pulling them in, which is great for dealing with small targets all at once.
Last but not least, Ciaccona’s Ultimate causes her to enter a singing state called “Recital” on top of doing a big wave of AoE damage. This state will last even if she is switched off-field, and every 1.6s she is able to either manually input or automatically perform a wave of damage called “Symphonic Poem: Tonic”. Depending on the mode chosen at the start of her Ultimate (Aero Erosion mode by default), she will inflict either Aero Erosion or Spectro Frazzle on all enemies hit. It is possible to almost instantly switch from Aero Erosion to Spectro Frazzle after casting her Ultimate so the process isn’t too slow. Once this is performed, she is ready to switch out and apply waves of Status Inflictions off-field. Her Outro even amplifies all Aero Erosion DMG by 100%, so her Aero Erosion actually ends up dealing solid off-field damage, especially with Aero Rover in the mix to stack Aero Erosion up to 6 times instead of 3.
Regarding her meta position, Ciaccona is already in a good niche and clearly she’s intended for a future character. We expect Cartethyia, an Aero Sword 5-star releasing right after her, to be a strong character to pair with Ciaccona in an Aero Erosion archetype similar to Zani’s Spectro Frazzle archetype with Phoebe. With that being said, we don’t advise you pull Ciaccona under this hypothesis until it is officially confirmed — what we’re trying to say is, if you want Ciaccona for Cartethyia, wait until it’s official that they’ll be good partners together.
Considering her current pairings, she’s already a character who can slot in many teams. The main point of interest is Absolution Phoebe a.k.a Main DPS Phoebe. She’s really strong with her because she’s able to apply Spectro Frazzle across several waves of enemies, a feature Phoebe was dearly missing to perform in Whimpering Wastes. Ciaccona allows her not only to perform in the gamemode, but to perform to top tier level alongside each other.
In an Aero team, Ciaccona and Jiyan are a good pair even though Mortefi can be considered stronger in single-target scenarios. With that being said, Ciaccona has more AoE damage which is something to be considered, but she does boost Jiyan’s damage much less than Mortefi. Overall it’s difficult to pick one, we consider them pretty equal in performance to each other but this does add to Ciaccona’s team flexibility.
Furthermore, Ciaccona can be used as a second Frazzle applier for Zani alongside Spectro Rover which allows Zani to access more extended combos without Phoebe, which Spectro Rover alone couldn’t cover before. Phoebe however remains the best Frazzle support for Zani.
In conclusion, Ciaccona is a character who has quick rotations, AoE capabilities, slots in many teams, while buffing damage by good amounts. Overall, she is desirable for many characters. Besides, her full potential is not yet unveiled as the Erosion team archetype isn’t finalized, which means we can expect even more out of her in the future. All this to say, Ciaccona is currently great, but consider that she is only a slight upgrade to certain DPS characters at best and the Erosion archetype needs to have a Main DPS to complete it in order for her to reveal her full potential.

Best Echo Sets show the best sets that support the main character playstyle and work out of the box while the Special Echo Sets either are situational, support an alternative playstyle or are targeted toward min-maxers. The percentage numbers showcase the relative DPS increase when you take into account the set bonus only. For some characters there's no DPS (or its equivalent) available and in that case we listed the sets in the order of priority.

2 Set: Aero DMG +10%.
5 Set: Inflicting Aero Erosion upon enemies increases Aero DMG for all Resonators in the team by 15%, and for the Resonator triggering this effect by an additional 15%, lasting for 20s.
Best set for Aero Erosion supports. Allows characters that can apply Aero Erosion to gain a total of 45% Aero DMG Bonus, an equivalent to Sierra Gale. However, it gains an edge over this set by being able to give 15% of that Aero DMG Bonus to the whole team for 20s, providing both offensive and supportive benefits. This set is only favoured on Ciaccona if an Aero Main DPS is present in the team. Use Moonlit Clouds if this doesn't apply.
Below you can find Main Echo options that you should be using with the set:

2 Set: Energy Regen increases by 10%.
5 Set: Upon using Outro Skill, ATK of the next Resonator increases by 22.5% for 15s.
Offers a 10% unconditional Energy Regen% boost taking some pressure off your gear when aiming at ER breakpoints. Also upon using Outro, grants the next character switching in a 22.5% ATK boost, amplifying any of your main damage dealers burst windows. Generic supportive set for Ciaccona that can be used in all her team compositions, including Spectro Frazzle teams. Not recommended over Gusts of Welkin if an Aero Main DPS is present in the team.

Below you can find optimal rotation (or rotations) for Ciaccona. The total time needed to perform it is 4.62 seconds. When selecting the rotations we prioritized achieving 100 Concerto as fast as possible and once that condition was fulfilled, we focused on maximizing the damage output. As or if new and more optimal rotations are found, we'll update the characters calculations as needed.
Ciaccona's rotation goal is to fill her Forte and Concerto as fast as possible to activate her Resonance Liberation and Outro in order to support her team. Doing this is simple but Ciaccona has a major trick that allows her to do this much more efficiently, Basic 4 Jump cancels. This trick is so impactful we recommend it as a part of the base rotation, do it if possible.

Calculations
Don't use the damage output calculations as an indication on who is worth pulling or investing as those are just simulations and in day-to-day gameplay there's a lot variables and also the skill of the player is important - if you can't consistently perform the character's rotation, their damage will suffer.
As usual, don't compare the numbers between characters - especially between Main DPS and Hybrids as they fulfill different roles in the team.
The numbers below show the character's DPS (Damage Per Second) and DMG (total damage done). When selecting the rotations we prioritized achieving 100 Concerto as fast as possible and once that condition was fulfilled, we focused on maximizing the damage output. As or if new and more optimal rotations are found, we'll update the characters calculations as needed. Listed character calculations are done without buffs or any damage contribution from teammates (full solo). They only include what the character, their Weapon, Echo and gear are capable of during their ideal Burst or Concerto rotation when starting with their Intro and Resonance Liberation available.
Do note that DPS and DMG aren’t perfect metrics for a character’s individual value and should be taken with a grain of salt. Anything pertaining a character’s relevance in the meta is addressed in our Review and Tier List, which the numbers below shouldn’t be used for as an end-all-be-all to. Instead, DPS and DMG are good metrics for a character’s sequence value and comparison between an individual character’s different rotations. We recommend using those metrics for such purposes.
Rotation time: 4.62s (Post S3: 4.12s)
