Review
Excellent damage in all scenarios,
Pure Elation DMG dealer,
Extremely speedy,
Surprisingly durable,
SP efficient and can restore SP throughout the fight,
Good economy in an Elation team,
Overkill protection on her greatest source of DMG,
Solid vertical investment options,
Does the impossible; sees the invisible.
Reliant on other Elation teammates to reach her peak,
Despite good LC options, her Sig is irreplaceable for hitting 200 SPD reasonably,
Small pool of good teammates (for now),
Silver Wolf please I need this give me back my credit card pleeease.
The new form of Silver Wolf is a highly potent Elation main DPS. She has a unique Energy mechanic that lets her transform into a stronger powered up state with her Ultimate. She is SP neutral during her Enhanced state, and deals pure Elation DMG. She also gains bonus CRIT stats, and can have extra additional effects based on which weapon she visually attacks with. She makes use of the existing Elation teammates very well.
Friends, I don't think she's giving me back my credit card. I'm gonna call her Super Wolf moving forward, because typing out sw999 looks jank and is less endearing.
No I will not be talking about the Global Passive she has, if you're here then I trust you can read it for yourself, I don't need to fill space with my disdain for the practice.
Yet another very powerful Emanator level character, and yet another with a unique Energy gimmick. Super Wolf's Talent says that after reaching 60 Hidden MMR points, she can use her Ultimate to transform into a legally distinct TTGL reference.
Whenever the team gains Punchline, Super Wolf gains an equivalent amount of Hidden MMR. The Ultimate can be used at 60 points, but it can overflow up to a maximum of 300 points. Each point of Hidden MMR also increases CRIT Rate by 0.4%, and if you hit 100% CRIT Rate, this buff switches to providing 0.8% CRIT DMG per point instead.
Using her Ultimate puts her into an Enhanced state, immediately granting a 100% Action Advance. Her next three Basic ATKs are Enhanced, and her Elation Skill is also Enhanced for the duration of the Ultimate. During the Ultimate, Super Wolf is also completely immune to Crowd Control. After using Enhanced Basic 3 times, the Ultimate state will end, and the amount of Hidden MMR you had will be reset to 0.
These Enhanced Basics do not consume or generate SP, deal 240% ATK split evenly across all enemies, and split evenly into 100 Bounces. Yeah I know, just roll with it. After Bouncing a certain number of times, the attack pauses and Super Wolf triggers a Top Loot Box to enhance the next set of Bounces.
This Loot Box can be a Big Flipping Sword (BFS), Kaboom Eggsplosion (Bomb), or a Funky Munch Bean (Pacman). All of these deal 90% IMG Elation DMG split evenly amongst all enemies. BFS will deal additional 20% True DMG to the enemy with the highest HP; Bomb will additionally recover 2 Skill Points; and legally distinct Pacman will gain 3 Punchline (there's no hyphen in it, that's how you know it's legally distinct).
When triggering Top Loot Box from the Enhanced Basic, you will always get 3 procs of it no matter what, but the specific weapon you draw is not fixed, so you can get multiple of the same one. After drawing 3 times, and continuing the Bounces all the way up to the maximum of 100, Super Wolf then automatically launches a finisher attack, dealing 100% ATK spread evenly to all enemies.
For every 60 points of Hidden MMR you have during the Ultimate, the Enhanced Basic will deal an additional 15% of its original DMG, acting a true multiplier akin to what Acheron has. This stacks up to 2 times, for a 1.3x multiplier, achieved at 120 Hidden MMR.
Again, you get 3 of these Enhanced Basics per Ultimate. That means the entire 100 Bounces and 3 Loot Box attacks, plus the finisher. 3 times.
'But what the heck' I hear you exclaiming, 'You said she dealt pure Elation DMG!'. That I did, and that she does. The last line of Super Wolf's Talent describes her Certified Banger state. Using Basic ATK or Skill against enemies will deal 40% Elation DMG, and most importantly, the ability DMG of her Enhanced Basic during her Ultimate has its multipliers CONVERTED to Elation DMG at the same multiplier.
That means that every single thing she does during her Ultimate is 100 percent, whole milk Elation DMG, and those are some absurd values as far as Elation goes, and that's even before factoring in the 1.3x multiplier you can get.
Probably the coolest thing about these Enhanced Basic ATKs is that there's a built-in overkill protection. If you kill all remaining enemies midway through the attack, it'll pause the Bounce count right where you left off and then resume it once the new wave of enemies spawns in. If this happens to you, it will resume in an extra turn and increment all of your currently applied buffs by 1 turn, thereby preventing you from losing uptime to the wave change. How brilliant is that?
In addition to all of these shenanigans, during the Ultimate Super Wolf deploys a Zone (we love Zones here). While Super Wolf has Certified Banger, each time an ally within the Zone consumed 1 SP, there's a chance to trigger the Top Loot Box 1 time.
When triggering the Loot Box attacks like this, they get immediately used as an extra attack, similar to a Follow-up (but not a Follow-up). This draws from the same 3 weapons as before. The initial fixed chance to trigger this effect is at 100%, meaning the first time an ally uses SP they will trigger the Loot Box. After each successful trigger, the fixed chance is reduced to 20% of the previous chance; starting at 100%, then 20%, then 4%, then 0.8%, and so on. You'll likely only see 2 or 3 of these.
The Loot Boxes aren't fully random, it's somewhat skewed in your favour based on your current circumstance; if you have high SP, you'll see less of the SP Bomb, and if you have high Hidden MMR, you'll see less of the Punchline generating Pacman.
Lastly, Super Wolf has two Elation Skills, depending on if you're in the Ultimate or not. Her regular Elation Skill has her gain 15 Hidden MMR. Yeah that's it, she hacks the game and then reclines in her chair all smug and proud of herself. Doesn't do any damage, but hey it accelerates the rate at which you can enter her Ultimate, and that's more than worth the whiff.
Her Enhanced Elation Skill however will deal 6 Bounces, each dealing 90% Elation DMG to a random enemy, potentially hitting 540% Elation DMG on a single foe (insane numbers by the way), and after the attack ends, the fixed chance to trigger Top Loot Box for allies consuming SP will be reset to 100%, so you can keep on playing gacha within your gacha.
Both of these Elation Skills have a Participant ID of 999 (yo it's the thing), meaning Super Wolf will always be the last one to act during an Aha Instant.
Hm? Oh right. Lastly for real this time, Super Wolf's Skill gains 5 Punchline and deals 160% ATK to all enemies. Yeah, not really as flashy as the rest of her kit but it generates Punchline. It's not much, but it's honest work, and hey, it still deals 40% Elation DMG thanks to Certified Banger.
Yeah this character is nuts.
'But I'm not done yet!' Is that a dated enough reference for you? Am I outing my age with this one?
A2 is a conversion Trace, because everyone needs one of these now (I'm not actually mad these are usually really good but like c'mon get new material). When SPD is 160 or higher, Super Wolf gains 50% bonus Elation. For every 1 SPD exceeding this threshold, gain an additional 2% Elation. This caps out at 260 SPD, for a total bonus of 250% Elation. Obviously it's not realistic to have this... yet, but it's still a sizeable increase to her Elation stat, and given everything she does is Elation DMG, yeah that's pretty good. Oh and her base SPD is 110 so she already has a very good head start.
A4 helps ramp her up faster. When the amount of Punchline taking into account when using her Elation Skill is at 20 or more, Super Wolf will gain an additional 20 points of Hidden MMR. If the amount of Punchline is at 40 or more, Super Wolf gets an additional 20 on top of that, meaning she instantly gains 40 Hidden MMR. Very useful to get into Ultimate quickly as long as you can get the Punchline quickly.
Lastly, A6 will simply grant 20 points of Hidden MMR immediately upon entering her Enhanced state from her Ultimate, helping you to more quickly get to the 1.3x multiplier from having 120 MMR.
The usual disclaimer here.
E1 causes her Ultimate's Zone to affect enemies as well, applying a 20% Vuln to all of them. Depending on the teammates, you'll already have some Vuln applied to enemies, but this is still a good increase to damage. In addition, after exiting the Ult form, 20% of Hidden MMR will be retained instead of clearing all of it. This is somewhat difficult to quantify since your MMR will be fluctuating a lot throughout combat, and it could result in extra Ult usages in a fight, or it might not, it depends™. It is not generally reasonable to reach the cap of 300 right now without extremely weird rotations or shilling or big vertical investment, so your mileage will vary.
E2 extends all buffs by 1 turn upon entering Ult form. For every 120 points of Hidden MMR (including the initial amount), Super Wolf gets 1 extra turn and regains a use of Enhanced Basic ATK. This means you'll pretty consistently get 1 extra EBA from the Ult. Getting to 240 MMR is kinda hard right now, but with higher investment or a healthy dose of 'git gud', you might be able to get the 2nd extra EBA. Not as crazy of an E2 as we usually see, and certainly nowhere near the personal power gain as someone like Evernight, though Super Wolf seems to be clearly made to be run in a dual DPS setup anyway, so this isn’t too surprising.
E4 makes her Enhanced Elation Skill pretend like it took 5x as much Punchline into account; if you had 20 Punchline, well Super Wolf will attack as though it was 100. It's actually pretty good for what it is, and can be useful for finishing off chaff enemies with a single Bounce.
Finally, the E6. Elation DMG dealt during her EBA gets a 50% Merrymake. Possibly the rarest buff in the game right now, this is an undiluted final multiplier for Elation DMG specifically. This means that on top of the 1.3x you get anyway, THAT is then multiplied by a further 1.5x. Oh and enemies entering combat get All-Type Weakness and their All-Type Base RES reduced to 0. This means that the enemy has no natural resistance to any element anymore and can have their Toughness reduced by everything. Those pesky 70% RES enemies weep in the face of this. And if enemies already have 0 Base RES for an element, then they get 20% RES Down for it.
Usually one paragraph is enough for an E6 but this is... I mean if you never want to have to think about what team you're running and you're REALLY in it for the long haul with Super Wolf Elation Annihilation Team (SWEAT, cuz that's what you are), then by all means, go for this one. This is the definition of 'and if that don't work, use MORE gun'.
Buh.
Being someone who deals in pure Elation DMG, Super Wolf's build requirements are laughably low, I mean main stat on Relics is basically whatever defensive stat you want to go for, or rather whichever has the better substats. She gets good CRIT stats from her passive, but you'll still want to have some of your own, just because it can fluctuate a lot in combat if you're purely relying on her Talent.
This also means that SPD is the best thing you can have pretty much, and you're already incentivised to go for it. With a high base SPD and even 9 SPD from Minor Traces, it's actually not too unreasonable to attempt to reach the fabled land of 200 SPD. Don't sleep on the Diviner relic set for her either. With the Talent CRIT buff automatically converting to the more applicable one, you can easily aim for 100% CRIT Rate for the consistency and then coast on a few CRIT DMG subs and the CRIT DMG you get from Talent.
Self-explanatory for the most part. So let's go to teams.
Super Wolf wants Elation and Punchline generation. This should be obvious given how her kit works. To that end, we gotta talk about the 4.0 Elation characters.
Yao Guang. Pretty much a perfect match for Super Wolf, giving great buffs, All-Type RES PEN and Vuln, and providing a pretty impressive amount of personal damage for a dedicated support. By far the best part of her kit is being able to just summon an Aha Instant with her Ultimate, immediately giving everyone on the team a use of their Elation Skill. Good to use at the start of combat to enter Super Wolf's Ult state faster, or to use immediately after Super Wolf enters her Ultimate for a huge instant nuke.
Yao Guang is also notably a very speedy character who wants extreme amounts of SPD for her own stat conversion Trace, and combined with Super Wolf who also wants to reach the promised land of 200 SPD, you can make Aha act very damn quickly, even reaching the 2 Aha Instants in the first cycle with ease, especially considering we want to be running 3 Elation characters in the team anyway, and if that happens then you're in for some REAL fun, lad.
Sparxie is the next mention of course. Right now, there isn't anyone even remotely close to the Punchline generation that Sparxicle has, and naturally having this kind of boost is extremely good for Super Wolf's Ult uptime and overall power. In addition to this, thanks to the smart RNG of Super Wolf's Loot Box, you can actually recover a very impressive amount of SP before Sparxie's next turn, meaning the Punchline machine doesn't stop.
Putting both of them together with Super Wolf results in what is probably one of the strongest teams in the game right now, and is the current premium Elation setup. Everything works together very well, and this Dual DPS setup is quite competitive, even considering that everything has been shilling Elation lately. Maybe don't go in expecting it to perform at Quad Remembrance just yet, but it's definitely no slouch either.
Yao Guang in particular is a very big game changer for Super Wolf, so it's going to be somewhat unfortunate if you decided not to acquire her when you could (I told you so).
Having said that, we have another newcomer on the block, the Elation Trailblazer. They have their own review so I won't go too in-depth here, but they are also a highly competent teammate for the Elation archetype, acting as essentially a lite version of Yao Guang. They can also give Super Wolf a solo forced Elation Skill that accounts for 20 Punchline, and is able to generate a good amount of Punchline by themselves, and even contributes some decent damage too. There's very little to not like, and the Elation Trailblazer is likely to get underrated and glossed over by a large majority of the community I predict.
And this would be wrong, especially in the context of Super Wolf. If you do not have Yao Guang and Sparxie, the Elation Trailblazer is more than enough for Super Wolf to start mincing enemies with gusto. Yes, obviously you shouldn't expect to reach the heights of full premium teams, that would be unrealistic, but you will be surprised at just how close you can get with an entirely free addition you'll get in the 4.2 story.Performance without the Elation Trailblazer, or at least one other Elation character, will suffer tremendously though. As an Elation main DPS, you actually care very little for the kinds of buffs that are typically given to hypercarries, especially DMG%. DMG% does absolute jack for Elation DMG and so a lot of supports drop out just from that. Unique Energy means external Energy generators are also meaningless.
This puts you in a position where you need to get creative. DEF down, Vuln, and RES PEN are naturally the best options you have, but something you may not expect at all is the mention of Asta. You probably forgot this character exists at all didn't you? Well, being able to give 50 SPD from her Ultimate for a team that cares very much about SPD and about very little else, especially when a character on that team has an incentive to build high SPD, is pretty good it turns out. Seriously, don't knock it 'til you try it.
But please, if you're going to run a team with Super Wolf, please please please put another Elation character on the team. The Elation Trailblazer alone is enough to see good results, trust me, especially in an environment tailored to Elation. It's definitely rough without at least one of Yao Guang or Sparxie but at least with the Elation Trailblazer you can get your foot through the door.
I know that the Remembrance Trailblazer is completely broken and stupidly good everywhere and that a lot of teams rely on their strength, but you simply forfeit the right to complain about Super Wolf if you're not even gonna attempt to put the Elation Trailblazer with her, and comparing across archetypes is pointless anyway, especially when those other archetypes are VERY complete teams.
If you have only the Elation Trailblazer to work with, and you're not likely to give up the power of Remembrance, then you really should ask yourself if it's even worth pulling for Super Wolf right now. Maybe apply some more foresight if you're gonna be that way?
Seriously, I am running out of 'I told you so's to hand out these days, please spare me the headache.
Super Wolf has a little room to grow actually, but it's not as much as you may be expecting. The current premium team is already practically geared fully towards Super Wolf's kit, so I'm unsure what else there is to wait for besides an Elation sustain character.
Even then, because Elation is very privileged in the stat department, many of them run a lot of defensive stats, and actually all of these Elation characters have inordinately high HP and DEF values too, making it even better.
So to that end, a full Elation team right now of Super Wolf, Sparxie, Yao Guang, and the Elation Trailblazer is really damn strong, and durable enough that you can probably kill the enemies before they kill you if you know what you're doing, even for more casual players. Okay, maybe Sparxie could struggle a bit since she actually cares about ATK, but even still, it's a lot more durable than other non-Remembrance teams. An Elation sustain would need to offer a lot I think, but there's also potential other Elation main DPS to look forward to as well, so who knows.
That said, Super Wolf does still want that Dual DPS setup due to how her kit works. While, again, I do think Super Wolf has room to grow in the future, it may be a while until we see a character who is Sparxie GM or Yao Guang Pro Max, so it may not be as explosive of a growth as what we've previously seen for Remembrance.

Honkai: Star Rail is a game where team building matters most and while our tier list takes the optimal setup into account, a lot of characters can work and do well - even those ranked lower - when you invest into them. Also for story or lower difficulties of Simulated Universe, you don't need to worry about ratings and tiers. You can safely clear that content even with F2P characters as long as you build your team correctly.

Calculations
Don't use the damage output calculations as an indication on who is worth pulling or investing as those are just simulations and in day-to-day gameplay there's a lot variables. Use the numbers only to supplement your knowledge and treat them as the 'floor' of a character's damage output which you can further scale with proper team and investment.
The simulation showcases characters damage potential in the 5 cycle turn limit of Memory of Chaos against 1 target and 3 targets. The section below has all the rules listed.
General:

Units:
Important! Our calculations are based off of Silver Wolf Lv 999's personal damage. However Silver Wolf Lv 999 is frequently played with another main damage dealer such as Sparxie which can change the value and contribution of some lightcones with team based beneficial effects. Additionally the total improvement for Light Cones and gear will be lower in multi-damage teams as boosting Silver Wolf's damage isn't as beneficial if she's only dealing 50-60% of the teams damage instead of 90%+. Silver Wolf (and Elation as a whole) need each other and Aha Instants to function, so teammates are partially simulated to allow for proper Punchline and MMR generation.
Also, E2 is only calculated with 1 extra Enhanced Basic per Ultimate rotation.
And here are the Relics and the Light Cone used in the calculations above:
