Viperian is an A-Level Mage of the Graveborn faction. His kit revolves around balancing his HP to sustain the Darkviper debuff he inflicts on the enemy team long enough for him to trigger them with his Ultimate.

The passive part of his Ultimate: "Spiritual Viper" forms the basis of his kit. At the start of the fight, he begins consuming his own HP to inflict his Darkviper debuff on enemies one-by-one. Once deployed, they begin dealing a small amount of DoT damage and return to Viperian if his HP drops too low to heal him. The active part of his Ultimate causes Viperian to nuke all enemies affected by Darkviper.

The rest of his kit is centered around AoE damage and healing. His "Vitality Extract" skill is a simple life-steal attack that helps Viperian battle his constantly lowering HP while "Enchantment Fang" makes him consume HP to increase the damage of his Darkvipers while also causing them to lower the Energy of their target.

Viperian's Exclusive Weapon causes him to nuke all enemies at the start of the fight, consuming HP in the process. While it may not seem like much, it adds to Viperian's surprising amount of damage dealt over the course of a fight, and he can recast this every 30 seconds.

Flying under a lot of players' radars, Viperian is often disliked for how much he deals damage to himself, causing him to require a constant stream of healing that would otherwise (usually) go to the Tank of the team. Despite this, Viperian's high damage output and constant DoT applied over the entire enemy team stack up quite nicely, and he is generally worth it if you need a Graveborn Mage.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Extremely consistent damage, basically always doing something.

  • Decreases enemies' energy, allowing your team to win the Ultimate race more easily.

  • Has self-sustain in his life-steal and Darkviper debuffs.

  • Can do high map-wide burst damage with his Ultimate and Exclusive Weapon.

Cons

  • Requires a constant application of healing due to self-damaging mechanics.

  • Can be quite flimsy even though he has some CC immunity built into his kit.

  • As a Mage his Ultimate takes a while to charge.

Guides

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
, while the remaining two levels require additional 45x
Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
. So you get the best bang for your buck stopping at +8.

Color explanation:

  • +0 - the base investment for the character,
  • +5/8 - the next step that you should do when investing into that character,
  • +10/15 - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
