Sinbad the charges at the "hitter," dealing 120% + 10% damage 4 times and reducing their ATK by 45%. Next, he takes on the "guard," dealing the same damage 4 times and increasing their damage taken by 25%. Both debuffs expire when their respective marks do. Sinbad is an A-Rank Lightbearer Rouge, acting as a Debuffer and DPS hybrid. After 6s into the battle, he leaves the battlefield for a moment - reducing enemy carry’s Attack by 45%, increasing damage taken for the enemy with most damage taken so far (usually the tank) by 25%. However these debuffs are capped to 20% against bosses, making him primarily a PvP unit. That concludes his role as Debuffer, let us take a look at the DPS aspect now.

His Ultimate allows him to unleash unlimited attacks for 3s only limited by his Attack Speed and Haste, thus boosting those 2 stats makes his damage skyrocket making him a viable DPS for bosses.

Game Modes Overview
  • Story and AFK Stages - He doesn’t perform well in high deficit AFK stages due to his squishiness, as you need to survive first  to land those great debuffs!

  • Dream Realm - He performs well provided he gets the required Attack Speed and Haste boosting, allowing him to be part of some of the best bossing teams.

  • PVP - This is where he shines, with his debuffs unburdened by high deficit or bossing penalties, particularly excelling against single carry teams, as he massively debuffs the enemy carry allowing your team to have more time to kill that debuffed with damage increase tank. After a marked enemy dies, he can re-apply his debuffs. He also works great in general against mauler teams due to faction advantage.

  • Battle Drills - He does well in mob stages and is also useful against bosses, thanks to his damage and debuffs.

Investment Info
  • Legendary + grants him more Attack Speed, which synergizes with his Ultimate increasing his DPS potential.

  • Mythic + grants him additional debuffs to apply to enemy carry and tank.

  • EX+ 10 increases his Attack debuff to 55% and Damage taken debuff to 30% if applied against the same target twice.

  • EX +15 sharply increases his Attack debuff to 85% and Damage taken debuff to 45%.

  • Supreme + grants him increased damage against marked enemies.

Sinbad’s base kit is already usable at single copy, provided he survives for 6s to cast his debuffs. To be used as a pure Debuffer, he does not need more than Mythic+5, although Supreme+15 improves the debuffs a lot. And to be used as DPS carry, just like others, more dupes the better - preferably all the way up to Supreme+, EX+15.

Conclusion

Sinbad is a great Debuffer, while he is mostly PvP-centric, he can be used as a DPS carry for bosses when built around.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Anti-Carry Hero.

  • Powerful Debuff Package.

  • Can be built around to achieve high damage.

  • Can avoid some damage by leaving the battlefield.

Cons

  • Needs to run into melee to apply his debuff, risking getting killed by Thoran.

  • Squishy but needs to survive long enough to cast his debuffs.

  • Damage is only average when not built around.

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
, while the remaining two levels require additional 45x
Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
. So you get the best bang for your buck stopping at +8.

Color explanation:

  • +0 - the base investment for the character,
  • +5/8 - the next step that you should do when investing into that character,
  • +10/15 - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
