Seth is an A-Level Assassin of the Mauler faction. While he is slow to get going, once he uses his ultimate and snags a kill or two, he is nearly impossible to stop as he will constantly heal himself while dealing a lot of damage.

His main gimmick is "Hunter Instinct" which grants him a stack of Bloodlust whenever an opponent drops to low health. Each stack grants Seth permanent Haste and Life Drain, and he also gains a bunch of defensive stats upon triggering Bloodlust the first time (also Crit at later levels).

"Beatdown" causes Seth to pounce on the weakest enemy, dealing a burst of damage. This helps greatly in triggering additional Bloodlust stacks, as the damage will often drop already weak enemies to the threshold of gaining a stack.

His Ultimate, "Shadow Strike", causes him to dash at an enemy, freeze them briefly, and then deal a burst of damage. During this attack, Seth recovers a burst of HP and becomes Invincible during the cast. At higher levels, every stack of Bloodlust also recovers additional HP for Seth.

His Exclusive Weapon, "Fervent Hunt" causes Seth to immediately reset the cooldown of "Beatdown" and recover Energy whenever a non-summoned enemy is defeated. Additionally, at +5, Beatdown starts dealing increased damage on every subsequent use. This further exacerbates Seth's snowballing potential, granting him massively increased stats and damage the longer he stays alive.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Great snowballing potential the longer he gets to stack Bloodlust.

  • Easy and amazing to invest in due to the power of Bloodlust, EX, and low rarity.

Cons

  • May feel a bit underwhelming before unlocking EX as he both wants it and the additional stats that come from dupes.

  • If he doesn't manage to trigger the defensive stats from Bloodlust quickly he has a habit of getting blown up.

Guides

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
, while the remaining two levels require additional 45x
Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
. So you get the best bang for your buck stopping at +8.

Color explanation:

  • +0 - the base investment for the character,
  • +5/8 - the next step that you should do when investing into that character,
  • +10/15 - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
