Odie is an A-Rank Mauler Marksman and one of the most important characters in the game for nearly every type of content. His standout ability is executing enemies consistently, all while dealing Poison damage at an impressive range.

His Ultimate is his most crucial ability. It fires two darts—one deals direct damage, while the other applies Poison that continuously damages the target until they die. This Poison cannot be removed, and the target remains as Odie's focus until he recasts his Ultimate on another enemy. At M+ EX+10, Odie gains Heart Crusher, which executes enemies based on the amount of Poison damage they’ve taken. This can be further enhanced by Natural Hunter, which boosts the Poison damage and significantly expands both his Normal Attack and Ultimate range of attack.

Triple Tap is another skill that deals damage three times and counts as Normal Attacks whose each hit triggers Natural Hunter's Poison damage enhancement. His Hero Focus on Attack Speed helps him stack Natural Hunter more efficiently. Unlocking Supreme+ enhances Triple Tap further, boosting the Poison damage enemies take, ensuring Odie can execute even the toughest enemies, no matter be it frontliners or squishies in back.

Performance in Various Game Modes:

• Story and AFK/Talent Stages - Odie is one of the best, if not the best, high-deficit AFK Stage pushers in the game. Thanks to Heart Crusher, he can easily execute enemies, and with the massive boost to attack range from Natural Hunter, he can quickly eliminate backline enemies. He’s often paired with heroes like Hugin and Rowan, who provide him with constant Energy, allowing him to fire his Ultimate more frequently and efficiently.

• Dream Realm - He is often used in pre-Endless teams for Dream Realm bosses because Heart Crusher works on bosses, allowing him to clutch out clears with an execute. His damage output, combined with Poison damage, makes him a powerful hero to take down bosses efficiently.

• PVP - Odie remains a top-tier character in PVP, as long as you can keep him protected from being quickly bursted down by enemies. Heart Crusher allows him to melt through anyone, whether they're Tanks or squishier targets.

• Battle Drills - He is also frequently used in this content due to Heart Crusher and his solid overall damage, thanks to Poison and his long attack range. Whether it's normal mob battles or bosses, he excels in both scenarios.

Conclusion

Odie should be one of the first heroes to heavily invest in, as he is useful across every mode in the game. His high damage output, execution ability and very long attack range make him the GOAT. Focus on unlocking Mythic+ first to access Heart Crusher, then level his EX Weapon to 10 for the 600 starting Energy, allowing Odie to use his Ultimate right away and going up to level 15 for extra stats is also beneficial. Finally, unlocking Supreme+ is the key for making Triple Tap more effective in building up Poison damage for Heart Crusher.
