Nara is a S-Rank Graveborn Assassin centered around enemy units' isolation, allowing other teammates to deal damage and finish off low health enemies. Unlike Burst-Type Assassins such as Silvina and Vala, Nara’s focus is on being a more Control-oriented Assassin helping in setting up kills for the rest of the team while picking off easy prey.

At the start of battle, Nara tries to pull the enemy she is targeting towards her and hold her Ultimate until she can use it against an enemy hero whose HP ratio is below 40%, bursting them down for a quick kill. If she succeeds in killing an enemy using her Ultimate (or Assist with the kill), she increases her own Attack, thanks to her Hero Focus and releases a shockwave that damages enemies + heals allies based on Max HP of the enemy she killed, thanks to her EX Weapon.

Now, for a quick overview of her performance in the various Game Modes:

  • Story and AFK stages - Nara fits right into established Control teams along with the likes of Ulmus and Eironn, easily isolating and finishing off enemy backlines if they are CC immune. Making her one of the best Assassin type characters for AFK stages.

  • Dream Realm - Being a Control oriented character with low DPS, even when compared to other Assassins, Nara fails to make any impact in Dream Realm.

  • PvP - The focus of Nara’s usage, she is great at isolating priority enemy targets as long as they are not Unaffected (An enemy with Enlightening Spell Artifact or Shakir during his Ultimate) or Untargetable (Lily May at battle start).

    • She kicks off the battle with her Pull, disrupting enemy in whatever they were doing and lock them down with her Stunning Killer Kick, which along with rest of team shaving their HP off is often enough to make them go below 40% HP threshold allowing Nara to quickly kill the enemy causing a Snowball effect.

    • A good combo to get around Enemy Dionel equipped with Enlightening Spell Artifact is to use Dunlinger in his Curelock state to prevent the enemy from being healed, while bursting him down with Nara and other Assassins such as Vala/Silvina.

  • Battle Drills - While being useful for Mob stages, she lacks the killing speed to be particularly good in Battle Drills, as such be it Mob stages or Boss stages, there are better options to consider.

Nara’s base kit with enemy pull is already usable, however at a single copy she is unlikely to survive to tell the tale or deal any proper damage. As such, Investment wise we are looking at following:

  • Legendary + grants her base Attack bonus with further increase in Attack on Kills or Kill Assists.

  • Mythic + grants her access to Eerie Execution, an ability with 2-tile shockwave triggered when killing an enemy with her Ultimate, damaging enemies and healing allies.

  • Supreme + grants her an energy bonus whenever she kills an enemy with her Ultimate skill allowing easier access to chaining kills.

  • EX+10 grants her a free usage of her Pull ability against enemies below 40% HP threshold whenever her Ultimate is ready, allowing her to kill on the spot without moving to enemies.

As such, being a PvP-focused Assassin character, while she can work at single dupe, she greatly benefits from having as many copies as she can get, particularly Supreme + and EX 10 being her primary targets to function as secondary carry.

Conclusion

Nara is a control oriented version of Silvina and shines in a similar way to eradicate priority targets in PvP. While also possessing some utility in AFK stages for Control teams. Pull her if you want more Assassin options in PvP attack teams.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Great option for isolating dangerous enemies.

  • Powerful CC abilities to complement Control teams.

  • Grows stronger with Kills or Kill-Assists.

  • Can heal the team on Ultimate Kills.

Cons

  • Can be countered by smart placement of defense teams.

  • Cannot pull Unaffected or Untargetable enemies.

  • Requires kills to trigger some parts of her kit.

  • Requires a low HP enemy to use her Ultimate on auto battle.

Guides

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
, while the remaining two levels require additional 45x
Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
. So you get the best bang for your buck stopping at +8.

Color explanation:

  • +0 - the base investment for the character,
  • +5/8 - the next step that you should do when investing into that character,
  • +10/15 - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
