Review
Lorsan is a S-rank Wilder Support whose primary gimmick is duplicating damage dealt on one enemy to another, allowing him to match any DPS Hero’s damage output as long as there are two or more enemies present. Furthermore, he also heals and buffs an ally, and debuffs the enemy team.
At the start of battle, Lorsan activates “Stormbound Chain” linking two enemies together, thus any damage dealt to one of them, will be duplicated to the other, up to a point limited by Lorsan’s own ATK, making it so that his damage scales heavily with more investment/dupes.
His other skill, Zephyr’s Embrace is a single target Dodge and Haste buff along with continuous healing effect that affects a single target for 6s.
He also provides a unique Haste Reduction debuff with his Ultimate affecting those around the frontmost enemy, which can assist in your team acting before the other.
Now, for a quick overview of his performance in the various Game Modes:
Story and AFK stages – He acts as a force multiplier in AFK Stages by doubling your Main DPS damage and is capable of healing the team competently in short battles. However, his healing output falls off drastically once he runs out of Stormbound Chain casts in more drawn out battles.
Dream Realm – Lorsan’s main gimmick requires at least two enemies to activate, so unsurprisingly it doesn’t quite work out in Dream Realm. While he does deal more damage than a pure Healer (his personal damage output is similar to that of Reinier), his buffs are generally not good enough to justify the slot in Dream Realm.
PVP – In PVP, Lorsan works best in burst teams that can make full use of the Stormbound Chain link, though with the existence of Lily May stifling Eironn’s presence in the burst damage archetype, the options we are left with are Dionel teams in Regular Arena, a lucky Lily May burst against one of the linked targets, or Assassin teams. In the Supreme Arena, where burst teams are more viable, Lorsan has more chances to shine.
Battle Drills – He works well for mob stages as a Healer and damage amplifier but his lackluster performance against Battle Drill bosses might not justify the slot.
Lorsan’s base kit already works at 1 dupe, but his healing is limited to his single target heal, and his damage becomes capped by low stats.
Legendary+ gives him extra ATK, which is important as his kit scales mostly with ATK.
Mythic+ vastly increases his healing output by changing the single target heal to that of a teamwide one, and at EX +10 he also gains some CC potential.
Supreme+ makes the ally healed by Zephyr’s Embrace unaffected.
We recommend upgrading him to Mythic+ and EX +10 for the increased healing potential and CC, but he does benefit from the raw stats from further dupes as his kit scales for more damage.
Lorsan is a force multiplier and Healer, great for any gamemode where you fight multiple opponents that are mainly AFK Stages and PVP. He is not great for bosses. Pull for him if you want a Healer for short battles, who can sometimes double your main carry’s damage output.
Can reduce Haste, allowing your team to act before the enemy.
Can double your main carry’s damage output by duplicating the damage onto another target.
Very high burst healing potential starting at Mythic+.
CC Team Synergy at EX +10.
Single Target heal and buffs are limited to a single target.
Burst Heal has limited charges and is tied to his EX weapon.
Squishy.
Bad in single enemy target content.
