Korin sweeps his spear to enemies within 2 tiles, dealing 70% damage 4 times and immobilizing them for 2s. When the skill hits adjacent enemies, the targets are knocked back 1 tile.

Unlocks at level 51: Increases immobilize duration to 4s.

Unlocks at level 111: Increases damage to 75%.

Unlocks at level 171: Increases damage to 80%.

Unlocks at level 231: Increases damage to 85%.

Korin jumps next to the weakest ally, granting both of them a shield that blocks 300% damage (based on Caster's ATK) for 5s. Korin then dashes to the closest enemy, dealing 180% true damage.

Unlocks at level 71: Shield value is increased to 320%.

Unlocks at level 131: Increases damage to 200%.

Unlocks at level 191: Increases damage to 220%.

When Korin and the allies within 2 tiles cast their Ultimates 3 times in total, Korin's arms feel nature's power and enchant his spear with Wilder magic, dealing additional true damage equal to 2% of the targets' max HP for 8s with follow-up attacks, and the extra damage cannot exceed 40% of Korin's ATK.

Unlocks at Ex. Weapon +5: Increases the ATK SPD by 60 during the skill.

Unlocks at Ex. Weapon +10: Increases the additional true damage to 2.5% of the targets' max Points.

Review

Korin is an A-Level Warrior of the Lightbearer faction. His role is split between offense and defense, and he performs decently in both aspects, good enough to be considered for actual teambuilding.

His most obvious skill is "All-round Tactic", whereby Korin jumps to the weakest ally and grants them a shield before dashing to the nearest enemy and dealing True damage. It's simple, it's sweet, grants him mobility, and deals decent damage. His other skill, "Air Strike", is a bit more subtle, and the attack is a guaranteed Crit on his target, increasing in Crit DMG for every point of Crit available.

His Ultimate is called "Demonseal Spear" and it causes him to sweep enemies within 2 tiles of him, immobilizing them and knocking away other enemies. This is great for getting annoying melees like Seth and Shakir off your team, or simply to interrupt dangerous casts like Hewynn's Ultimate.

Korin's Exclusive Weapon unlocks "Vine Arms" which, after allies collectively cast 3 times, Korin becomes enchanted and starts dealing True damage based on his target's Max HP as follow-up attacks to his allies. It is temporary, but in teams with quick enough Energy generation it is an extremely powerful tool to deal large amounts of damage to large HP targets (like Dream Realm bosses).

Korin does require this unlocked to deal ANY meaningful damage (it is a very dramatic increase), but that shouldn't be too hard considering his rarity, and he does his job decently without it.

  • Deals with role split effectively - provides both good defense and offense, especially after unlocking EX.

  • Surprisingly high single-target damage.

  • Easy to invest in due to rarity.

Cons

  • The majority of his damage potential is locked behind EX.

  • Can struggle early game due to defense not being needed and his offense being weak.

EX Investment

are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x
