Igor is a S-Rank Graveborn Warrior with a unique 'Cheat Death' mechanic that is different from Thoran’s. He thrives on enemies losing HP, using it to sustain himself and remain a menace on the battlefield, all while dishing out solid damage.

Funeral Ring is a passive Ultimate ability that keeps Igor standing on a tombstone, which he can create additionally whenever an enemy loses 40% of their HP. When this happens, Igor summons a tombstone near the affected enemy and begins attacking them.

When he uses his active Ultimate ability, Igor deals damage to all enemies and triggers Ghastly Explosion on any nearby tombstones. This explosion activates every 8 seconds or when his Ultimate is cast, dealing damage to enemies within 1 tile of the tombstone. If triggered by Igor’s ultimate, the explosion deals additional damage. Ghastly Explosion also heals Igor for a percentage of his max HP from Soul Siphon.

When Igor takes a fatal blow, he uses Soul Siphon, making himself immune to damage and hopping to another tombstone. Ghastly Explosion also heals Igor for a percentage of his max HP from Soul Siphon. However, after Soul Siphon is triggered six times, Funeral Ring becomes less effective, as the HP loss required to create new tombstones increases by 12%.

Hero Focus of Life Drain isn’t particularly useful for Igor, as he primarily relies on hopping between tombstones and taking advantage of the Damage Immunity granted by Soul Siphon, rather than sustained healing.

Unlocking Horror Strike extends the range of the explosion from Ghastly Explosion and reduces the healing received by enemies hit by it. At EX+ 10, Igor gains an enhanced Ghastly Explosion whenever he hops from one tombstone to another using Soul Siphon. When unlocking Supreme+, Igor creates another tombstone near where most enemies are, which can either set up another Soul Siphon for damage immunity or trigger more damage from Ghastly Explosions.

Performance in Various Game Modes:
  • Story and AFK/Talent Stages - His niches aren’t as useful in high-deficit situations, where direct utility is often more valuable. His main strength lies in indirect utility through his distraction

  • Dream Realm - Igor isn't particularly useful in Bossing situations, as he can't generate tombstones consistently. While his damage is decent, there are other options that may perform better for such encounters.

  • PVP - He is a decent menace in PVP, as enemy heroes often get distracted by targeting him. Thanks to the damage immunity from Soul Siphon, he becomes difficult to deal with. While his damage isn't enough to place him consistently at the top of PVP teams, he’s still a solid choice for disrupting opponents.

  • Battle Drills - Similar to AFK Stages, Igor’s role as an enemy distraction isn’t as useful here, where the focus is more on utility and DPS.

Conclusion

Igor is primarily a PVP unit. While he may not be the best option right now, he's still a solid pick, especially for new players. You can use him effectively without any dupes, but he becomes stronger with more dupes, boosting his damage. At M+ EX+10, he gains enhanced Ghastly Explosions on every tombstone hop, making him even more impactful.

Guides

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
, while the remaining two levels require additional 45x
Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
. So you get the best bang for your buck stopping at +8.

Color explanation:

  • +0 - the base investment for the character,
  • +5/8 - the next step that you should do when investing into that character,
  • +10/15 - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
