Review

Hewynn is an S-Level Support of the Wilder faction. Her entire kit revolves around healing, and provides little beyond that, still, don't underestimate how much healing can provide.

Her most iconic skill is her Ultimate, "Rain Prayer", which continually heals all allies on the map. The sheer range and speed of healing that this provides is a crutch for many, especially in PVP and while progressing through AFK Stages, as everyone has dealt with an impossibly annoying Hewynn before. Its relatively low Energy requirement also doesn't help, making battles a race against the clock to try and get any enemies killed before Hewynn casts this.

Her "Wound Healing" skill is a simple single-target burst heal. At its max level, Hewynn starts casting this on the lowest HP ally during her Ultimate, further ensuring that absolutely none of her allies are allowed to fall once she gets it off. Her other skill, "Revitalize" makes this even more dramatic, as she applies a healing increase buff to an ally when they fall below half HP. At higher levels, this starts cleansing debuffs from them also, meaning it's hard to lock and burst her allies down.

Her Exclusive Weapon unlocks the "Tranquility" skill, which not only decreases damage taken by allies while "Rain Prayer" is casting, it also grants Hewynn the Unaffected status, making her immune to crowd control and thus making the Ultimate uncancelable unless she is killed through the healing.

This all sounds impossible to deal with, and while it is indeed tricky to get rid of a Hewynn that's properly placed and protected, there are a few faults to her kit. For one, there is always time before her first "Rain Prayer" cast goes out, so focusing on her before anyone else will ensure that she falls before she can get going. In addition, while she applies a metric tonne of healing, she doesn't provide anything besides that (until Supreme+ where she gives an ally with "Revitalize" a bit of Haste).

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Undisputed highest healing output in the game.

  • Extremely hard to deal with if not focus-targeted.

Cons

  • Doesn't provide much besides healing.

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
, while the remaining two levels require additional 45x
Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
. So you get the best bang for your buck stopping at +8.

Color explanation:

  • +0 - the base investment for the character,
  • +5/8 - the next step that you should do when investing into that character,
  • +10/15 - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
