Harak is an S-rank Hypogean Warrior. He is a very strong DPS who has a friendly-fire mechanic that you need to plan around to make him work. He possesses very high damage, Invincibility and Enemy Healing Reduction at the price of him executing a random character (either ally or enemy) every 12 seconds or so. Theoretically, this is supposed to be a bad thing but in reality it's actually not that bad as the teammates you're mostly gonna pair him with provide permanent effects to the combat even while they're dead.

His only shortcoming originates from requiring a lot of dupes to make him work, at the least, you would need M+ and EX+10. Additionally, he gets a big power spike as S+ allowing him to cast his Ultimate very often for a lot of damage.

Performance in Various Game Modes:
  • Story and AFK/Talent Stages - Harak excels at taking down targets with strong healing with his healing reduction, making him excel at countering Sustain comps and keeping the damage flowing in. Although he still needs dupes to make him work - the lowest is M+ EX+10.

  • Dream Realm - Harak truly excels in this mode because of his very high damage output outside of a few instances where he doesn’t work. A frequent setup includes another solid DPS such as Lily, as well as Mikola and Reinier, who have permanent additions to the combat lasting even after being executed by Harak. For the moment, he is a go-to DPS for most of the Bosses. However, the investment required for him to shine is pretty pricey – starting at M+ EX+10, which is still not enough to out-damage the old comps most of the time. However once you get him to S+, you can clearly see his dominance.

  • PvP - Harak is basically Dunlingr without debuffing your whole team. He is especially useful against Sustain heavy comps, as his ability to reduce healing can swing the fight very fast in your favor. This is mainly due to the fact his damage and survivability mean he can withstand Tasi teams. He will still need a lot of dupes to unleash his full strength. However, Talene and Tasi will still beat him against certain opponents like Dionel as their burst synergy is faster and more reliable in certain situations

Conclusion

Harak is a very strong character but needs a lot of dupes to make him worthwhile. Even so, if you have the opportunity to invest in him up to S+ he will obliterate anything you throw at him, just at the cost of the lives of his teammates which can be manipulated somewhat. Very strong in all contents that he has been tested and should stay strong in Battle Drills as well.

If you want to invest into Sharkboy Edgelord, you can start until M+ and EX+10 but ideally you will want him at S+ where he can now constantly cast his Ultimate.

Guides

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
, while the remaining two levels require additional 45x
Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
. So you get the best bang for your buck stopping at +8.

Color explanation:

  • +0 - the base investment for the character,
  • +5/8 - the next step that you should do when investing into that character,
  • +10/15 - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
