Review

Florabelle is an S-Level Warrior of the Wilder faction. A dazzling release with a very even split between her being both good and bad, Florabelle focuses on summoning creatures to fight in her stead. Her main gimmick is summoning Spiny, Smashy, and Swifty - three different critters all with their own unique mechanics.

The passive effect of "Pounding Blow" makes her summon Spiny, who focuses on continuous damage, while its active causes Florabelle to summon Smashy, who strikes the ground to knock enemies up upon being summoned. On the other hand, "Tiny Sharpshooter" summons Swifty at the back of the arena, who focuses on dealing continuous ranged damage, especially when Florabelle casts the skill while Swifty is already on the field (which causes it to go into a rapid-fire mode).

Florabelle can also support her summons further with "Overgrowth", which summons food that seeks out her summons (in order: Smashy -> Swifty -> Spiny) to grant them a burst of both Haste and Life Drain.

Her Exclusive Weapon unlocks the "Protective Blessing" skill, which grants Natural Blessing to allied summons when they enter the battlefield that protects them with a shield. In addition to this, at +10, she feeds the ally summon with the highest ATK whenever she casts "Overgrowth", granting them a small burst of Haste and Life Drain.

Conclusions

Florabelle summons children to fight for her? Uhm... anyway. In the early game, she struggles a bit compared to Cecia who already works super well on a single copy, so keep that in mind before deciding to use her during her rate-up on a fresh account as the main carry. Furthermore, Cecia is given to you for free and you can buy her copies from the shop, while the only way to get Flora is her rate-up banner (for now - once it ends, she will be added to the general pool).

Overall, both Cecia and Florabelle are very similar characters when it comes to the modes where they shine - they're great in story progression and great in Battle Drill (as the combination of single and AoE damage is important there), but their damage isn't good enough to make them worth using in Dream Realm at the high end. As for PVP, both have teams where they work and Flora might be a bit better here when it comes to the current meta - as she can be slotted into the Eironn team and has her own Zoo meta team with Berial (but it requires massive investment).

Flora is interesting in the sense that she's a character that can technically only get better as the game gets more characters. She does her best to support her 3 summons, but her EX (which you should get if you want to use her) is what makes her stand out from the crowd, allowing her to shield and buff other's summoned units, which includes Cecia, Damian but even Berial with his EX (resulting in a LOT of unit spam that can confuse enemy AI).

It's a shame we don't really have any other offensive summoners besides Cecia, but this might change in the future.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Amazing support for allies that summon units (Cecia, Berial, Damian) after EX.

  • Has a great mix of different kinds of offense.

  • The amount of summons divides aggro and reduces the overall damage the team takes.

Cons

  • Really needs her EX, her summons are quite squishy before that.

  • Overreliance on her summons to deal damage in her stead.

Guides

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
, while the remaining two levels require additional 45x
Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
. So you get the best bang for your buck stopping at +8.

Color explanation:

  • +0 - the base investment for the character,
  • +5/8 - the next step that you should do when investing into that character,
  • +10/15 - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
