Elijah and Lailah (or Twins in short) are a S-Rank Celestial Support that are placed as two distinct units on the field.  They share the same health and energy pool, creating a tether between them. The Twins can massively speed up a team by buffing team Haste, Energy Regen and providing Ultimate energy refund. Further they also provide healing, increase team stats, a single shield and some CC.

The Haste buff comes from their Ultimate, which also makes linked allies unaffected whereas their first skill provides healing and Energy Regen to the linked allies.

Their second skill gives the weakest ally a small shield, and pulses Blind 1 tile around the Ranged Twin, and a Knockback around the Melee Twin.

Now, for a quick overview of their performance in the various game modes:

  • Story and AFK stages – The Twins are quite good in most AFK stages for their potential to fit into and speed up any team they are put into, as long as one of them doesn’t die before they get their first Ultimate out.

  • Dream Realm – In the current Dream Realm bosses, the Twins have a limited space to work with, as they can only link to two other characters, which makes it so that teams that rely on a single carry or two such as Harak team work best with the Twins, and in those teams they are sometimes best in slot.

  • PVP – In PVP, the Twins have a dedicated map in arena, the new special map for Season 3, which makes them especially good this season until that map rotates out, and they can also work in Supreme Arena depending on the map. In drawn out fights they can get their Ultimate out and can help allies cycle through Ultimate, but unless you have Paragon advantage, the Twins can get killed before they do much of anything, this is due to their shared health pool which effectively doubles AOE damage they take (or Quadruple it if the enemy gets good positioning with Lorsan!)

  • Battle Drills – The Twins perform adequately for both mob stages and boss stages, making them one of the best candidates for a Battle Drill slot.

The Twins are quite squishy even at high investment, so at 1 dupe they die even more easily and are not really usable in any content.

  • Legendary+ gives them extra Haste, and also upgrades the tether to give allies extra Haste too.

  • Mythic+ grants the following to allies in a mono-faction team with the Twins - Extra Vitality, Energy and refunds part of the Ultimate cost.

  • Supreme+ is very important as it gives the tether a huge stat-stacking component.

We recommend upgrading the Twins to Supreme+ and EX +15 for the 20% Ultimate Energy refund, though for PVP higher investment might be required depending on Paragon presence in your arena bracket.

Conclusion

The Twins are marginally better than some of the current top teams in Dream Realm, a decent option for AFK stages, and are usable in PvP as long as they don’t die. Pull for them if you are looking for a generic offensive support that works everywhere, but does not quite dominate anywhere outside of specific Dream Realm teams.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Massive Haste and Energy Regen source - can speed up most teams.

  • Can double dip on Energy Regen effects and charge their Ultimate relatively quickly.

  • Mono Faction Support with Ultimate Energy refunds.

  • Great stat stacking at Supreme+ for drawn-out fights.

Cons

  • Shared health pool makes them exceptionally squishy.

  • High Investment required to get good use out of them.

  • Tether can make team building tricky and map-dependent.

  • Not as good for very short fights,

  • Weak against burst damage teams.

Guides

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
, while the remaining two levels require additional 45x
Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
. So you get the best bang for your buck stopping at +8.

Color explanation:

  • +0 - the base investment for the character,
  • +5/8 - the next step that you should do when investing into that character,
  • +10/15 - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
