Damian is an A-level Support of the Wilder Faction. He is a support who can do healing, buffing, and debuffing. Early on, you will not see any value in his kit until you have invested enough dupes for him to be Mythic+ or Supreme+.

Let's start by talking about his ultimate, specifically the passive of it. Explode, my Chariot! the passive part lets Damian summon a toy chariot in his stead, inheriting his stats and a portion of his HP at the start of battle. At this time, Damian's existence will be replaced by the toy chariot, so if all allies die and a toy chariot is not on the field, it's a loss. Now for the active side, if there's no toy chariot currently existing in the field, Damian will summon one. If there is one, he will command the toy chariot to charge and kamikaze itself in front of enemies, then blind them for a few seconds. Damian will replenish 80 energy for every 10% max HP the toy chariot left with before exploding. Most of the time, when the toy chariot is at least at 30% of its health before it explodes, Damian will cast his ult again and make a new one.

Emergency Support! is an excellent burst healing skill if you do have the chariot on the field. If there's no chariot on the field, Damian will give himself a lot of energy—more than enough to summon one. This skill is what makes Damian amazing for PVP because of how much burst healing it does to sustain. It's a Plane! is basically an 8-second stun to the farthest enemy, which most of the time will be the enemy damage dealer. Hero Focus of ATK is mediocre because it could've been better if it'd been more healing instead.

Inventor's Will is an aura for giving Haste, but it can also be mild healing as well if you have the EX Weapon upgraded to +5. This skill will mostly be usable for your backline as for the Toy Chariot always stay in the backline no matter what, so the haste and potential healing capabilities will be on your damage dealers and other supports which is great. Solid EX skill overall. His Enhance Force is broken especially for PVP as the blind of 3 seconds from the kamikaze toy chariot becomes 7 whole seconds, which is in a PVP environment is a long time.

Conclusion

Damian most of the time is used at Mythic+ with EX Skill Upgraded to +5 to assist for backline, basically acting like a mini rowan. For the PVP side, Damian will be the best mythic+ healer until you get your other healers to supreme+. At supreme+ the choice boils down between faster healing deployment and CC from Damian or higher healing output from other healers.

Season of Strife Skill

Vanguard's Bulwark is an excellent skill for Damian to bring immediate sustain to your frontline.

Guides

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
, while the remaining two levels require additional 45x
Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
. So you get the best bang for your buck stopping at +8.

Color explanation:

  • +0 - the base investment for the character,
  • +5/8 - the next step that you should do when investing into that character,
  • +10/15 - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
