Cecia is an S-Level Marksman of the Graveborn faction. While she's classified as a Marksman she actually plays more like a Mage as most of her power is locked behind her Ultimate skill.

Her Ultimate, "Queen's Summons", causes Cecia to summon Mr. Carlyle at the target location, entangling any opponent caught in a very wide area with his Spiky Wrath skill. Her other skills are less impressive, as she is mostly focused on doing consistent damage. Her summon is her main appeal though, as it provides another tanky frontliner while also having a massive AoE entangle that can easily interrupt a majority of teams

Her "Earth's Offering" grants her and Mr. Carlyle's a burst of ATK SPD. At higher levels, this also replaces Mr. Carlyle's normal attacks with Thundering Quake, causing him to deal AoE damage. Then "Thorned Cluster" allows Cecia to gain DEF Penetration and enhance her basic attack every 3 normal attacks, lending to the idea of high consistent damage.

Her Exclusive Weapon unlocks "Trial of Thorns", which causes her to periodically entangle an enemy, permanently absorbing some of their defense stats. Which are shared with Mr Carlyle, making him even harder to kill.

Overall Cecia is a great damage dealer, though she is very reliant on her summon, as her own damage is just average at best. This means that during the story progression, she is one of the best DPS you can use, but in other modes, she underperforms compared to other options. Like for example in Dream Realm - when you've just started, she will do well there, later she will be replaced by characters who deal way more single-target damage.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Very high consistent damage.

  • Amazing crowd control both AoE and single-target (after EX).

  • Summons another front-line unit to bolster the tanks.

Cons

  • Very susceptible to being interrupted before summoning Mr Carlyle.

  • Reliant on Rowan to provide her Energy so she can use her Ultimate in time (especially in PVP).

  • Only really shines in content where her AoE abilities are needed.

Guides

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
, while the remaining two levels require additional 45x
Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
. So you get the best bang for your buck stopping at +8.

Color explanation:

  • +0 - the base investment for the character,
  • +5/8 - the next step that you should do when investing into that character,
  • +10/15 - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
