Cecia is a S-Rank Graveborn Marksman who was the top AFK Stage pusher at the launch of the game. However, nowadays, she’s used less commonly in favor of higher DPS heroes. That said, she’s still a solid choice for new players, as she’s available for free early on in the game.

Her main strength comes from her Ultimate, which summons Mr. Carlyle who entangles enemies near him while acting as both a frontliner and additional DPS. He inherits all of Cecia’s stats but gains more HP, and his Normal Attacks hit in an arc, allowing him to damage multiple enemies at once. Agonizing Puncture is a Passive skill that boosts both Cecia’s and Mr. Carlyle’s DEF Penetration, while also enhancing Cecia’s Normal Attack after every 3 attacks. Earth's Offering increases both of their Attack Speed for a duration, and also makes so that Mr. Carlyle’s next Normal Attack is a smash that damages surrounding enemies and provides Life Drain.

Cecia's Hero Focus on Attack Speed is highly effective, as it increases her damage output, with an increased boost when Mr. Carlyle is present on the field.

When Mythic+ is unlocked, Cecia becomes a tanky Marksman. She entangles an enemy periodically and steals their defensive stats, which persist throughout the battle and can also be transferred to Mr. Carlyle. This ability can target only characters that can be entangled, ensuring Cecia will steal their defensive stats up to 8 times during the fight. As for Supreme+, it will further boost her damage by reducing Agonizing Puncture's Normal Attacks requirement by 1.

Performance in Various Game Modes:
  • Story and AFK/Talent Stages - Cecia is still a solid choice for AFK stages, but ever since the game's release, better DPS heroes have emerged for dealing more damage. Additionally, her tankiness has become less relevant, as newer heroes with better sustain have been released to protect fragile DPS heroes, making her less of a necessity for pushing high-deficit.

  • Dream Realm - She can still be used here for the DPS, but that's mostly it. There are other heroes that do her job better nowadays.

  • PVP - If you're new to the game, Cecia is a solid choice for pushing in the lower ranks of Arena thanks to her CC, damage, and tankiness. However, as you climb higher in ranks, her relevance quickly diminishes, as she gets outpaced by many other characters.

  • Battle Drills - This is where you’ll mostly see Cecia, as the mode favors smaller teams. With Mr. Carlyle acting as a Frontline for you, the other two heroes can focus on fulfilling the Support or additional DPS role.

Conclusion

Cecia is a solid Marksman, but she has lost the prominent place she once held. If future content brings her back into the meta, focus on unlocking Mythic+ to turn her into a tanky Marksman. Then, level her EX Weapon to +5 so she can steal Vitality from enemies, or even +8 for the added stats. Supreme+ should be your final goal, as it grants more stats and boosts her overall damage.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Tanky for a Marksman.

  • Summons a free frontliner that can deal damage.

Cons

  • She gets easily outpaced by other heroes nowadays, making investing in or using her not that worthwhile.

EX Investment

Since the

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
and
Twilight Essence
Twilight Essence
are very hard to obtain, you have to be really careful with the using them to upgrade the EX weapon. And in this guide we ordered all characters by the priority when it comes to how much they need investment in their EX weapon to work well and where should you stop to get the best bang for your buck.

Why does the +8 breakpoint appear so often?

Because the raw stats you get from upgrading the EX weapon help you more than the passive in some cases. Also, to upgrade the EX from +5 to +8 you need only 30x

Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
, while the remaining two levels require additional 45x
Temporal Essence
Temporal Essence
. So you get the best bang for your buck stopping at +8.

Color explanation:

  • +0 - the base investment for the character,
  • +5/8 - the next step that you should do when investing into that character,
  • +10/15 - the final step you should do when investing into that character - you can go beyond that later though once you have the Essences to spare.
