Yenisei is a heavily defensive character of the Star Afflatus who greatly overperforms her 5-star rating and is often considered better than some of her fellow Survival 6-star Arcanists.

Her skill “Action Taker” is a simple single-target ability that can also apply a debuff to the enemy’s damage, depending on the star level. Her other skill, “Words of Water,” is a single-target healing ability that also applies [Sturdiness]. With increased star levels, she'll also heal the ally with the lowest health and grant them [Sturdiness]. Her ultimate is a mass shield buff that also applies [Immunity] to [Stats Down], [Neg Status], and [Control] statuses for 1 round. She also gains 2 stacks of [Flow], a unique special effect of hers that, when consumed, can give her Moxie or [Empower Incantation I] (up to a maximum of 3 stacks), which enhances a random incantation’s star level.

Yenisei’s insights are straightforward and support her gain of Flow effectively. She gains 2 Current when she enters battle at Insight I, and if she uses Debuff incantations of rank 2 or 3, she can consume 1 stack of [Flow] to gain +1 Moxie. Since she can randomly increase the star of her own incantation, it's fairly easy to proc. Her Insight III allows her to consume 1 stack of [Flow] every time she uses a healing incantation, and grants herself [Empower Incantation I] for 1 round.

Compared to other survival characters that focus on just healing or supporting crit, or Medicine Pocket who juggles between debuffs and defensive abilities, she simply excels at keeping your team alive. She is both a shielder and a healer. The buffs she provides can protect any character that requires it, allowing them to stay on the field comfortably. Since she gains Moxie fairly easily from her skill, she’ll be applying her mass shield and [Immunity] quite often. She is one of the best characters for keeping your team alive because of this. Although she has other benefits, her primary role is defensive support.
