Review
The Fool, much like their name suggests, is a character who riles up their enemies by taunting. They are often used as a tanky decoy for your team. With their skill, named “The Fool,” they set a counter on themself and enters [Taunt] for 1 round. When they are attacked, the attacker will also suffer 2 rounds of [Corrode], which causes them to take Genesis damage based on the carrier’s current health, and Genesis DMG cannot be guarded against.
The Fool's Insight I applies the [Fool in the Play] status for 2 rounds, reducing their damage taken and critical resist rate by 25%. Their Insight II provides the usual 10% increase in Reality Defense and Mental Defense, which is common for tanky characters like them. With this information, their usage should be pretty clear; they're there to be hit and not die, while punishing the enemies for hitting them in the first place.
They also have other utility with their other skill, “The Sage,” which can reduce the moxie of a single target, and their Ultimate can help extend the [Corrode] effect en masse. However, it should be remembered that they're only a 3-star character, which means their stats are nowhere near as high as some other available tanks, and their effects' duration overall are not very long. The taunt only lasts for a round, and their Insight I only works for the first 2 rounds of a fight. Regardless, The Fool still is a tanky character that can support a DoT team and reduce enemy Moxie.
An effective taunter that punishes the enemies for hitting them by having a counter and providing Genesis DMG via [Corrode].
Their skills, “The Sage” and their Ultimate, provide additional utility by reducing the moxie of a single target and extending the [Corrode] effect across multiple enemies, respectively.
As a 3-star character, they have lower investment costs than characters of higher rarities.
Their taunt effect only lasts for 1 round, and their Insight I's damage reduction and critical resist rate reduction effects are limited to the first 2 rounds of a fight.
As a 3-star character, their overall stats may not match those of higher-star rarity tanks, potentially impacting their ability to withstand heavy enemy attacks or doing much damage aside from [Corrode] or their counter.
Will be beat out by slightly higher rarity units like Oliver Fog in terms of durability and Cristallo in terms of consistent team utility.

“The Fighter's Best Wishes” makes The Fool a lot tankier, which is really important as a 3* with [Taunt]. The HP% substat is great since The Fool's [Corrode] damage is capped by their Max HP. Unfortunately, the Genesis DMG buff only applies to attacks and not [Corrode].
“Her Second Life” is great for a little extra sustain, especially since The Fool likes getting hit by enemies.
“His Bounden Duty” has high base ATK that helps to make up for The Fool's 3* stat line.
“A Free Heart” is a great budget option for tanking and offers a higher amount of DMG reduction than “The Fighter's Best Wishes,” albeit at a narrower HP margin.
