SatsukiBuild and Guide

Character
Introduction

Satsuki is a 5 rarity character from the Plant afflatus who deals Mental damage and belongs to the Damage class.

Satsuki is a niche Carry who focuses on applying and extending the Petrify debuff. She deals decent Mental DMG, which makes her pair incredibly well with Druvis III, but that is also where her main flaw lies. Her combo with Druvis III is really strong, so she doesn't have anything outside of that, and only functions in comps featuring the 6-star.

Satsuki is a sub-DPS focused on crowd-control, more precisely Petrify. She works ideally with Mental DMG team, and has Druvis III as her greatest partner.

Her first skill, “Handcuffed Thief”, can apply one stack of [Rigidity]. However, since it takes two stacks of Rigidity to inflict [Petrify] and since this skill only inflicts [Rigidity] on level 2 or above, it's advised to keep the level 1 version of the skill waiting on hand until you can upgrade them. For this reason, it is also recommended to use the Tuning Set “First Melody” when bringing Satsuki to the team, in order to upgrade her level 1 cards more often.

Considering the way “Handcuffed Thief” works, while waiting for the right opportunity to level and use it as explained above, “Dancer of Izu” is the skill that you will use as filler more regularly to deal damage and help build up Moxie.

It's also paramount to keep an eye out for the stacks of [Rigidity] as well as the [Petrify] status, as Satsuki can use a single stack of [Rigidity] to extend the duration of [Petrify]. Thus, making the crowd control of the enemy team easier. The Ultimate “Walk Down the Sakura” can be used both as a good damage source (especially if you have Satsuki Portrays) but should mainly be reserved to ensure the control of the battle.

On Insight I, Satsuki applies one stack of [Rigidity] to all enemies when she enters the battle. This being a good help for teammates who require negative statuses to trigger bonus effects on their skills or who use the “Blasphemer of the Night” Psychube. If defeated in battle, Satsuki will apply [Petrify] on the enemy with the highest ATK for 2 rounds, giving the team some breathing room while the Substitute character enters.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Relatively reliable access to debuffs and crowd control;

  • Can inflict [Petrify];

  • Great synergy with Druvis III, making it possible to lock down the enemy team.

Cons

  • [Rigidity] and [Petrify] can be difficult to proc;

  • Her effects are rather niche, and mostly only work well on Mental DMG teams;

  • Her overall damage tends to fall on the lower side despite the bonuses to Penetration Rate.

Comments

“Luxurious Leisure” greatly increases Satsuki's damage potential, thus helping cover one of her biggest flaws.

“Brave New World" and “His Bounden Duty” are great universal options that increase her damage as well.

“Thunderous Applause” is best for a crit-based Satsuki build, as her high PEN Rate makes crits even more valuable.
