Nick Bottom is a supporting character who, in a way, can adopt the sacrifice strategy of Door and Ms. Radio, but not quite. Before we delve into that, let's discuss his skills.

With “Midsummer Vine,” he can provide valuable defensive support by increasing your Reality DEF and Mental DEF by 25%, as well as reducing overall damage taken by 25% for 2 rounds. This ability is quite solid because, unlike some other defensive abilities, it offers an increase against both types of damage, making it quite useful. His other skill, “Wild Rose,” can remove up to 2 moxie from the enemy when fully leveled, which is also a valuable ability.

Now, let's talk about the sacrifice strategy. Somewhat like Door and Ms. Radio, his ultimate ability, “Forest Eulogy,” allows him to reduce his health to 1 percent (putting him close to death). In doing so, he purifies [Stats Down], [Negative Status], and [Control] statuses from an ally, gains a shield equal to the HP lost in this action x100%, and enters the [Summer Dream] status. This status provides immunity to negative effects, damage reduction, and moxie when a round ends, all of which last for 3 rounds. Additionally, his Insight 1 passive can heal the ally with the lowest remaining HP upon his death.

However, one potential issue with Nick Bottom is that he's more challenging to sacrifice compared to Door or Ms. Radio because he doesn't die right away; he's left with only 1% health. This means you may have to spend an extra turn with him on the field unless an enemy targets him immediately and eliminates him. This slight unpredictability can disrupt some of the setup plays you may have planned for your back row. Nevertheless, unlike Door and Ms. Radio, his individual skills are much better, so even if he remains alive, he can still prove to be useful.
