Kanjira is a 5-star poison/utility character who efficiently performs her role, but she's not the easiest to use for several reasons. Consider her a character that requires some strategic thinking to play due to her Divination mechanic, which causes her passive to rotate and gain different effects at the start of each turn. [Emerald Fortune] enhances the use of "Hey, Punji!," [Pearl Fortune] boosts the next use of "Oh, Divination!," and [Agate Fortune] enhances the use of her Ultimate, "Song of Wandering". As long as you keep that in mind, you really shouldn’t encounter many issues, but it is an extra detail you have to pay attention to.

Getting into the actual skill/ultimate of her kit,  “Hey, Punji!” is her most important skill as it gives a poison niche and a team slot in setups based around Jessica, it’s a single target attack move that inflicts [Poison] for 2 rounds, and if you’re in [Emerald Fortune] state from her passive, she applies another stack of poison. Her other skill, 'Oh, Divination!' is a pure single-target damage card, unless you’re in the [Pearl Fortune] state, in which case you then inflict a layer of [Confusion]. This gives her extra utility, as it’s never bad to make it easier to crit. Her ultimate mixes it up a bit, as it’s a mass attack unlike her other skills, providing her with some variety in targeting. It’s a simple pure damage ult that does additional damage if she’s in the [Agate Fortune] status. As you can see, since you get bonuses depending on what state you’re in, it is crucial to pay attention to the rotation of her passive and plan around it.

Essentially, if you use Jessica and want to use a poison team, she’s the perfect pick as a teammate, especially if you don’t want to use or don’t have Sotheby. She’s a great poison supporter who can apply it fairly consistently. However, it’s essential to keep in mind again, she can become a bit challenging to use if you don’t pay attention to her passive states and time when you use your ultimate, for example. It’s very easy to activate your ultimate when you don’t have the correct state that gives it extra damage.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Excels in her role as a poison/utility character, making her a valuable addition to teams focusing on poison strategies.

  • Her second skill, "Oh, Divination!," as while in the [Pearl Fortune] status, she inflicts [Confusion], making it easier to crit.

  • Her Ultimate is a mass attack that can deal decent damage if she’s in [Agate Fortune] state.

Cons

  • Her kit in general will require you to plan around her Divination, which means you have to be careful with your turn order management, especially in a real game situation where RNG is already a significant factor. Managing your cards and dealing with Kanjira’s passive states can become complex quickly.

  • Pairing her with Sotheby will be a bit redundant as you don’t need that many poison stacks.

Ratings

Kanjira is a debuffer capable of inflicting [Poison]. Her application is somewhat inconsistent due to her rotational playstyle compared to Sotheby. Her [Confusion] debuff helps [Poison] units who can crit, but her Ultimate only does damage and provides little utility. A decent teammate for teams that require [Poison].

Comments

As a [Poison] and [Confusion] applicator, Kanjira can use “Blasphemer of Night” pretty well. It's a good option if you want Kanjira to do more damage.

“Brave New World” and “His Bounden Duty” are great general use options, with the former being more Ult-based.

“Yearning Desire” is a great budget option that works on a lot of characters.
