Introduction

Horropedia is a 5✦ rarity character from the Mineral afflatus who deals Mental damage and belongs to the Sub DPS class.

Horropedia is a dispel focused support/sub-DPS who deals increased damage against unbuffed opponents. Due to his various passives, he can easily cleave through incredibly tanky enemies. Even though he is a bit niche for requiring you to dispel often, when he is favored, he is without equal.

Review

Horropedia is a 5-star Mental DMG dealer and Support who has more uses than you might think. While his damage might not be completely up to par at lower investments, at Insight III, his damage becomes significantly better, but only when his skill cards are level 2 or higher.

This shouldn't be an issue, as you should prioritize having his skill at level 2 since that's where a lot of his utility comes in, especially for “Logic Dictates” which dispels all the enemies' buffs at Rank 2 or higher. It also dispels counters thanks to his Insight I.

His whole kit is overall very self-reliant. Horropedia dispels buffs with one skill, while he deals more DMG with the other when the enemy doesn’t have a buff. He can also further enhance his own and the entire team’s Mental DMG via his ultimate, “Twin’s Play” which inflicts [Fear], increasing the amount of Mental DMG taken by 25%.

Stages with buffs become a common trend over time, so having someone like Horropedia as an option to use can be helpful, since he can easily shred through enemies that have DEF stats up or other pesky buffs. Without any specific teammate or set up requirements, Horropedia should be pretty easy to fit in most Mental teams.

Pros & Cons

Pros

Horropedia offers good utility, making him more than just a damage dealer. His skill “Logic Dictates” at level 2 or higher dispels all enemy buffs, providing great usage at stages with a lot of enemy buffs.
The ultimate ability, “Twin’s Play,” not only deals damage but also inflicts [Fear], increasing the entire enemy team's Mental DMG taken by 25%. This allows Horropedia to contribute to his own team’s overall damage.
Once at Insight III and probably set up, he can deal very good damage.
Due to having a pretty self-contained kit, he’s pretty easy to place into most teams as a DPS, Sub DPS, or support for Mental DMG teams.

Cons

While Horropedia becomes a solid damage dealer at Insight III, his performance might be mediocre at lower investments.
The effectiveness of his damage will depend more heavily on the skill level when compared to most characters.
His dispel skill is single target, so he can only set up his damage boost for his “Sideshow” skill one target at a time.
[Fear] is specific to Mental DMG and won’t provide much use in a Reality DMG Team.

On the damage side, “Hopscotch” and “Brave New World” are undoubtedly Horropedia's best options. On the support side, “Her Second Life” and “His Bounden Duty” can offer extra survivability to Horropedia himself or his team, the choice here is more situational.
