Introduction

Erick is a 4✦ rarity character from the Star afflatus who deals Reality damage and belongs to the Support class.

Erick is a Crit-oriented Support with access to potent single-target Crit debuffs and some control. These assets and her Star Afflatus make her a potent support in the Early game for Crit users like Lilya, Regulus or even Eagle. However, due to being a 4-star, her stats are still rather low.

Review

Erick is a 4-star Star Arcanist who excels in supporting crit-oriented teams with her convenient debuffs and dispel effects.

Her most notable ability is “Heavy Axe”. At ranks 2 and 3 this skill inflicts potent Crit Resist and Crit DEF debuffs on a single opponent. It doesn’t last long, so timing is key, but when paired up with characters that want to crit, these debuffs raise their chance to do so considerably.

Erick’s other notable feature is her Ultimate: “Glory to the Jarl”, which dispels all [Stats Up], [Pos Status] and [Counter] effects from the target, also inflicting [Disarm]. This can quickly ruin an enemy’s day, as Erick’s now gotten rid of any buffs they may have had while preventing them from attacking, perfect for when enemies apply those pesky defensive buffs to themselves or any of their friends.

This makes Erick a potent early game option for players who use Critical-oriented teams, as the earlier you can get those units to crit somewhat consistently, the earlier they start dealing their high burst damage.

Pros & Cons

Pros

Cheap to raise due to her low rarity.
Decent early game crit-support to help crit-oriented characters.
Has decent control to boot with Dispel and [Disarm].

Cons

She’s entirely single-target, which causes her to struggle in her role as debuffer/dispeller when there are multiple enemies.
Erick doesn’t do much besides her crit-debuffing, so she becomes hard to justify using once your Arcanists gain more crit rate from their Psychubes, Insights and Resonances.
Her debuffs last only a round, so good timing is necessary to make use of her.
