A jack-of-all-trades character, Avgust provides a little bit of everything—damage buffs, healing, and even some dispel. Avgust is also the first character to factor position into his kit. Allies in front of him gain ATK%, DMG Dealt%, and [Rousing Morale] while those behind him get extra survivability through DMG Heal, DMG Taken Reduction, and [Sturdiness]. While no individual buff is particularly strong on its own, Avgust's general utility makes him capable of supporting a wide range of different teams.

Avgust’s main utility comes from his Inheritance, [Sunflower Bodyguards]. When entering battle, he grants all allies placed in front of him +DMG Dealt, and all allies behind him -DMG Taken. A good strategy is to place your healer behind Avgust, and everyone else in the front, as his first and arguably best skill, [Greetings!] will grant even more DMG Dealt to allies on the front.
[Greetings!] may not have very good damage modifiers, but it provides a lot of utility. On top of increasing DMG Dealt, it can also dispel [Pos Status] and [Stats Up] from enemies hit at incantation rank 2/3. If you don’t have any dispellers leveled or want an alternative to the other ones, Avgust is your good choice.
His ultimate [One Stroke After Another] applies [Rousing Morale] and [Sturdiness], but the fact that these buffs come in only one stack makes it a rather mediocre support tool. His second skill [Wish you Good Health] is in the same boat: despite granting [Cure] and DMG Heal to allies behind Avgust, it has very low multipliers.
As a final verdict, Avgust is yet another case of “jack-of-all-trades, master of none”. Everything he does is average, but thanks to his adaptability, that average may as well be enough to fulfill your needs if you need a Plant support.
Effectively permanent +20% DMG Dealt to allies in front of him through his skills and Insight effects
Has access to limited dispel, which is rather rare
Surprising amounts of personal Mass DMG output, partially due to Insight 3
May fall short if used as the sole offensive support in a 3-man team; excels in 4-man teams where further offensive supports can apply their buffs/debuffs
Doesn’t do much besides passively providing a bunch of buffs
A jack-of-all-trades character, Avgust provides a little bit of everything—damage buffs, healing, and even some dispel. Avgust is also the first character to factor position into his kit. Allies in front of him gain ATK%, DMG Dealt%, and [Rousing Morale] while those behind him get extra survivability through DMG Heal, DMG Taken Reduction, and [Sturdiness]. Stats and Build
Prioritizes ATK.

Your Friendly Exorcist helps Avgust's supportive capabilities by increasing all Plant allies' DMG Dealt up to +16%. Combined with his Insight I, that's +26% DMG Dealt just from standing there. The ATK increases his [Cure] healing.
Her Second Life is a better option for a more aggressive Avgust build, as it has higher stats and a better ATK% substat. The passive healing on ultimate lets Avgust perform better as a pseudo-sustain. It's also cheap to build; you can buy unlimited copies in the Fragment Shop, no Gluttony required.
Long Night Talk is great for hyper-aggressive Avgust builds where you're running him as a sub-carry. [Cure], [Rousing Morale], and [Sturdiness] all satisfy the 2 [Pos Status] requirement for 8% DMG Bonus, while [Wish You Good Health] allows him to stack up ATK up to 12.5%, increasing his [Cure] healing.
Melodies Old and New is a supportive option for non-Plant teams. 3–9% DMG Bonus for all allies after 3 turns and 12–16% Healing Bonus is great for a passive Avgust build. The 8% HP makes him a tad tankier.
Brave New World is your next best bet for a cheap sub-carry build. 18% Ultimate Might with 20–40% Incantation Might on the next attack works well on Avgust, and no Gluttony is always a great bonus.
