Character Summary

Peri is a synergy-based enabler who indirectly boosts damage output in Qiuhua(V6) “burn” teams. This synergy is made possible through the way Peri’s Hot Investment passive interacts with Qiuhua(V6)’s stacking passive self-buff.

Although Peri’s kit heavily emphasizes defensive utility and survivability tools, she is used (and valued) exclusively for her value as a Qiuhua(V6) enabler. There are already more than enough survivability tools to clear at-level content without fielding a dedicated tank; as such, Peri’s defensive capabilities provide little additional practical value.

Fixed Keys

Fixed Keys core to Peri’s function are:

  • 02-01 - Basis of Trade: The additional 3 starting Confectance Index improves Peri’s tempo by allowing her to instantly cast her Ultimate skill for Hot Investment stacks, which convert into additional Basic attacks.

Fixed Keys of contextual relevance that supplement Peri’s core function are:

  • N/A: Peri’s additional attacks passive mechanic is largely independent from the rest of her kit.

Mod Key

As of writing, Peri does not yet have a Mod Key.

Character Function

Peri is a highly specialized enabler played exclusively alongside Qiuhua(V6) as an indirect damage buffer. Her kit offers little in the way of utility, and even less in the way of damage. Her value outside of her niche as a Qiuhua(V6) buffer is relatively minimal.

Character Synergies

Peri’s primary use case is to serve as an enabler to push Qiuhua(V6)’s damage ceiling. To briefly cover the interaction:

  • Qiuhua applies Scorch Mark to enemy targets, a debuff that stacks (up to 12) with each instance of Burn damage they receive. When attacking, she gains a damage boost based on the number of Scorch Mark stacks present on the enemy, which resets at the end of the enemy round.

  • Qiuhua(V3) removes the maximum stack limit on Scorch Mark, effectively uncapping her damage potential.

  • Qiuhua(V6) builds on Scorch Mark by doubling stack gain (from +1/ trigger to +2/ trigger) and increasing the damage dealt per stack.

  • Peri’s Hot Investment passive allows her to consistently perform multiple (Burn) Basic attacks in a single round.

As Qiuhua(V6) contributes a disproportionately large share of the team’s total damage output, the team benefits greatly from Peri’s ability to further push Qiuhua(V6)’s damage higher.

While V6 is generally unattainable to the average player, Qiuhua(V6)’s presence in Gunsmoke as a desirable support makes her common enough to warrant covering. Qiuhua(V6) is the capstone that finishes off the Qiongjiu-Vector “Burn” team with a flashy damage dealer centerpiece. Building off the existing synergy, Qiongjiu’s Burn damage Action Supports feed into Qiuhua(V6)’s stacking passive self-buff to significantly boost Qiuhua(V6)’s damage. This highly synergistic mechanics interaction forms the basis for “Burn” teams’ exceptional damage output.

Vertebrae Breakpoints

SSR characters are reviewed at V0/V1 strength. However, for those especially dedicated players, it is worth noting Peri’s significant dupe powerspikes at:

  • V1: Increases the number of Basic attacks Peri can perform in a turn for more stacks on Qiuhua(V6).

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Slots in neatly with the existing components to the Qiongjiu-Vector “Burn” team and benefits from the team-wide support buffs already provided by the core lineup.

Cons

  • Peri’s dependence on Qiuhua(V6) to contribute value leaves her without an identity when stronger alternatives outcompete either of them for their respective roles.

  • Sharkry’s Mod Key changes her Wise Support damage type from Physical to Burn. Sharkry is enabled by Qiongjiu(V3). This allows Sharkry to fill the exact same niche as Peri, while also dealing more damage. As a result, Peri is fully retired from the role and sees no use elsewhere.

Best Attachments and Stats
Attachment Bonus
  1. Phase Strike: Deals 15% increased damage to targets with Phase Element debuffs.

  2. [Elemental] Boost: When dealing [Elemental] damage, the damage is increased by 20%.

Phase Strike is the standard set across all characters due to its universal compatibility and negligible damage difference compared to [Elemental] Boost sets. The 5% difference between +15% Phase Strike and +20% [Elemental] Boost translates to only a 1~3% overall damage increase. Farming new sets and calibrating existing ones both demand stamina; by focusing on fewer shared Phase Strike sets, players can allocate more stamina towards attachment calibration for higher attachment quality and better overall performance.

Support sets (e.g., Ultimate Pursuit, Emergency Repair) are ineffective and are not recommended for targeted farming.

Attachment Substat Priority

Crit DMG% >= ATK% > Flat ATK > Crit Rate

Important! There is already more than enough damage within the character roster to meet the damage thresholds to clear at-level content. Endlessly rerolling calibration% in pursuit of incremental higher numbers has minimal impact on actual gameplay performance. To the average player, attachment calibration min-maxing is unnecessary.

Best Weapons

Weapons are listed in priority order, but keep in mind that the Signature Weapon is not a must have - the Battle Pass Weapons or Standard Weapons will work well enough. Only Weapons available in Global are included.

  • Use any SSR Weapon.
    • SSR weapons will always outperform SR alternatives in damage on account of their higher base ATK stat and added weapon substat, which SR weapons notably lack. In the absence of a more compatible alternative, any SSR weapon will suffice as a statstick stand-in. Support characters are valued primarily for the utility in their kits. Their personal damage output is secondary to the potency of the buffs/debuffs, so their performance is minimally affected by weapon choice.
  • Use any SR Weapon.
