Wardens are a multi-unit soldier backline damage dealer. With a potent damage-oriented kit and low cost, they are one of the most cost-efficient damage dealers in the game. Wardens’ strong damage output and affordability give it the flexibility to easily fit in any team as a good, generally usable option.
In PVE, Wardens are most often used as a part of Vivian-Curian teams in Danger Close, which involves heavily buffing Curian’s Special skill to burst down bosses. On Curian’s Special skill cast, all allied Wardens reset and instantly cast their enhanced basic attacks; this allows Wardens to capitalize on all the active buff effects to contribute a significant chunk of damage to the burst.
In PVP, Wardens are the best (and only viable) cheap sniper option. Wardens represent an affordable source of anti-striker damage without the commitment issues associated with fielding more expensive alternatives. However, while Wardens are cost-effective, their diminishing ability to keep up with the increasing power levels of awakened strikers is making them less popular in favor of those more expensive alternatives (e.g. Mordred).
- Cheap sniper option.
- Cost-effective, but in some situations players would rather spend more for a sniper with a higher damage ceiling.
