Summary

Eve Meitner (Eve) is a short range backline damage dealer. She passively has tripled damage multipliers on non-Ultimate abilities in PVE and against low cost units in PVP.

Eve’s special skill and enhanced attack target the furthest enemy in range. While this range isn’t mapwide, it allows her to reach otherwise inaccessible targets, which is especially relevant in PVP.

PVE Review

In PVE, Eve is an absurdly potent damage dealer on account of her passive that triples damage. She sees use in all content where her range and survivability are not an issue.

PVP Review

In PVP, Eve thrives in weekly metagames dominated by low-cost frontline units and fragile backline threats. Her ability to chain off enhanced attacks and special skill counters enables rapid snowball potential that is very hard to stop once it gets going.

However, her viability hinges on several critical metagame conditions:

  • Lack of aggressive Awakened Strikers: Expensive offensive units (e.g. Awakened Sigma, Awakened Yoo Mina, Shepherd & Lurcher) easily access and kill Eve before she can execute her gameplan. On top of that Awakened Mordred sees higher usage on weeks with awakened strikers.

  • Prevalence of Low-Cost Frontlines: Cheap, disposable units activate her damage passive, enabling the rest of Eve’s kit.

  • Killable Backline Threats: Backline should not have backsteps, invincibility or phase changes as this prevents Eve from snowballing.

Even when necessary conditions are met for baseline Eve viability, she still has to deal with counterplay inherent to her kit. Her backline access tools can be redirected by playing units behind her and, even when this is not an option, her snowball is preventable by deploying tanks behind backline threats right before special/ enhanced attack is triggered.
