Review
Carmen is a backline long range healing support. She is notable in that she is one of the few ways to access debuff removal in the entire game. Better yet, her debuff removal is readily accessible from her Special skill, applied during healing.
In PVE, Carmen provides no offensive utility. As PVE content is heavily biased towards damage, she is frequently sidelined in favor of more effective alternatives (e.g. Rearm Chinatsu). That being said, Carmen does see use in Dimension Trimming Volcano as part of a specific setup that runs all healers that exist in the game.
In PVP, Carmen's combination of debuff removal, healing output, and safe range make her one of the best sustain options on any given week. Of note, Carmen’s Special skill fires a projectile that stops at the first enemy hit - this means Carmen’s healing can be denied through redirect tools and buff block (i.e. Serina Crews operator).
- Above average range keeps Carmen safe deep in the backline.
Cons
- Wonky healing mechanics can make it difficult for Carmen to heal the backline; similarly, Carmen’s heal can be physically intercepted before it hits the frontline.
