When deployed, he creates a stasis field for 6 seconds that decreases Mech units’ ATK by 30%, and their HP by 3% per second. (Noncancelable, Bosses excluded) After every 3rd Basic attack, he inflicts AoE damage on Mech units and stuns them for 2 seconds, and creates another stasis field.

Awakened Jake is a PVP-oriented bulky utility frontline tank with renewable barriers and anti-mech capabilities. He debuffs nearby enemies, lowering their attack and applying max HP% based burn.
Jake’s Alternium Reactor improves his special skill by increasing the ASPD self-buff, adding low uptime stun immunity and allowing Special to hit enemies even further away than before.
In PVE, Awakened Jake provides the bare minimum of being a frontline that doesn’t die. He sees use in Last Stand as a durable frontline with a consistent attack down debuff and a few mech stages that can be stunned such as Dimensional Trimming Swift Room 1.
While Jake’s kit is specialised towards being a tech unit against mech, he is one of the strongest frontline winconditions against any team. His ultimate provides a strong displacement effect, mapwide skill seal and buff block which is often enough to push for a win regardless of which faction you face.
Jake’s main weakness comes from his reliance on cancelable barriers for survivability. This makes him very squishy against buff block effects (e.g. Awakened Yuna) and even squishier against Barrier Reflux effect (e.g. Awakened Na Yubin, Awakened Karin Wong).
Outside of barrier hate there isn’t much counterplay available to Jake and it all boils down to killing him before his ultimate comes online. He is squishier than other awakened defenders of the same DP cost, making it relatively easier to meet the damage requirement to kill him.
