Review

Han Se-Mi is a powerful support that was tasked with a very daunting tasks: keeping Mirei alive and ensuring she could deal a lot of damage. We believe she was very succesful in this and we'll be glad to tell you why! Her basic and core attack aren't very significant, so we'll move to her skills right away. Her first skill, Sharp Sprouts, will summon some vines knocking the enemy airborne and granting [HP Recovery] to her team members for a few seconds. While this is helpful, her bread and butter is actually her second skill, Divine Field. When using this ability, Han Se-Mi can create a field around her that will restore 250 mp to every wind ally instantly. While allies are inside the field, they will be in the [Protection Zone] and they will gain MP every 3 seconds, on top of a shield based on Han Se-mi's max HP. The amount of MP depends on the skill level, so you might want to level it to at least 7 for some good MP returns. Her support ability provides a similar effect to SJW, giving 35 MP and granting a shield based on Han Se-Mi's max HP. It will also protect you from debuff zones where it lands, so it can be a very useful support skill to have in your toolkit. Her ultimate is another powerful supporting tool, granting the team healing bases on 20% of Han Se-Mi's HP on top of granting them the [Lifeline] buff, that decreases the damage taken by 20% and continuously restores HP to the entire team.

Han Se-Mi’s ascension enhances her support capabilities

  • Basic Passive: Han Se-Mi’s Basic Passive Ability grants the [Breath] buff to the team whenever she uses her Skill 1, Support Ability, or Ultimate. This buff increases basic skill damage by 10%, with an additional 5% bonus for Wind-aligned team members. This buff can stack up to two times.

  • A1 Ascension: Han Se-Mi introduces the [Steady Breath] buff, which activates whenever an ally uses their Ultimate skill. [Steady Breath] lasts for 20 seconds, providing a 1% increase in Critical rate and Critical damage every second, along with a 1% boost to Power Gain.

  • A3 Ascension: When an ally within Han Se-Mi’s zone falls below 1 HP, they become Immortal for 2 seconds and then instantly recover 30% of Han Se-Mi’s maximum HP. This effect can only activate once per turn, but it serves as an excellent "get out of jail" card.

  • A4 Ascension: Han Se-Mi further enhances the Wind element's strength, increasing the Wind damage of the entire team by 10%.

  • A5 Ascension: It introduces the [Natural Unity] buff, which activates when Han Se-Mi tags out. This boosts the attack of all team members by 10% and increases the Wind damage they deal by 20% for 25 seconds.

Han Se-Mi's weapon, Coming of Age, increases the damage enemy receive by 5% when they are hit by Han Se-Mi's skills. It also increases Han Se-Mi's HP. Getting dupes of this weapon will mostly increase the duration of the debuff, so while it helps, you can play around a shorter debuff duration to optimize burst windows.

Han Se-Mi’s best gear choice is Burning Blessing set, which fully maximizes her support capabilities. Other viable options include the Angel in White and Destroyer sets on the left side, both of which enhance her supportive role. On the right side, the Sylph’s Blessing and Outstanding Connection sets are also good choices,

Given that Han Se-Mi’s shields and healing abilities scale with her maximum HP, it is advisable to prioritize HP% and additional HP stats when building her. Other beneficial stats include healing given increase and mana consumption reduction.

For her best team options, it's pretty much going to be a wind team with Mirei and Jinchul. She can keep Mirei healthy and more importantly, replenish her MP constantly so she can deal as much damage as she can, while providing buffs that complement nicely the ones offered by Jinchul. Considering a lot of her perks are tied to wind allies she wouldn't pair as well with other elements like Min does, so keep that in mind!

Should You Pull?

The short answer is yes. Han Se-Mi is an exceptional support that provides a lot of important buffs and is a very significant for her element. The recent changes to Battlefield of Time make it very important to run mono elemental teams and the fact she gets most of power out of the gate make her a very useful pick up. The only thing to consider is her releasing alongside Go Gunhee, as his release could be a priority for many hunters. You can potentially wait until you summon for Go and then revisit Han Se-Mi's banner after you hit your desired ascension on him.

Investment Guide
  • Free-to-Play Players: ingle copy of Han Se-Mi is sufficient, with her A1 ascension provides the typical support power boost.

  • Dolphins: Aiming for A3 is advisable. The 2 seconds of Immortality it grants can significantly enhance Mirei’s risky playstyle.

  • Whales: Going all the way to A5 is ideal, as it further amplifies the power of her team members.
