Overview

Alicia is a core-attack spamming machine that can Freeze enemies in place while dishing out tons of damage. She can act as a main DPS or as a hybrid damage dealer/support thanks to her shield, exclusive weapon, and CC and her performance heavily depends on character and weapon dupes (which make her even scarier).

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • High Base multipliers.

  • Formidable DPS.

  • High burst at high advancements.

  • Spams Freeze.

  • Teamwide Shield.

  • Shield gives huge Crit buffs.

Cons

  • Dupe hungry.

  • Animation canceling required for burst windows.

  • Squishy, her personal shield isn't enough.

  • Little mobility.

  • Devs are nerfing freeze by making Bosses more resistant to it.

  • Makes every other element feel lacking in damage, even Jinwoo

Review

We can confidently say that Alicia is a very powerful character that sits in the top 3 of the hardest-hitting units of the game, while having a lot of utility and cc. Her playstyle revolves around core attacks, as she has the ability to charge up her core attack after every skill used.

She can obtain 'Frost' stacks using her skills and each frost stack (up to 5, expires after a core attack) gives her more damage when hitting a frozen target. Her shield has pretty much permanent uptime and provides a nice buff to her and her party members, especially when paired with her weapon, that you can easily get to at least A2 during the duration of her release banner.

Talking about dupes, her early power spike is A1 for the free crit stats, A2 is very powerful as well when it comes to 'team-play', since she can cap her core attack between her QTE and skills to unleash a maxed-out core attack before swapping out. However, A5 is where Alicia becomes arguably the second-best DPS in the game, considering what she gets. Her core attack can now inflict [Freeze] whenever it hits, enabling her 30% damage increase from A3 and letting her block in place any enemy that doesn't resist freeze. The freeze is admittedly just...icing on the cake, as the core attack buff alone is already worth the upgrade.

Setwise, you can use Toughness (given the free crit stats) and Armed (her shield scales on ATK and the def pen are wonderful). If your Alicia is A5 you can use Solid Foundation for more core attack damage, but it's still below Toughness. A special mention goes to Guardian if you are not running it on Seo, giving you a bigger shield and buffing her team members. For accessories, you can use the Champion of the Field set since it works well with her burst-focused playstyle. Alternatively, you can run the Expert set. Berserker is a bit less desirable considering all the shielding, but you can obviously use it if you play accordingly.

You can pair Alicia with Seo and you'll have an unstoppable duo capable of demolishing anything that unfortunately happens to be weak to Water, and if you don't have Seo she pairs nicely with Nam as well for the freeze spam. Your last slot in the team depends on the content, but you can run SM Baek for the bleeding, Cha for more damage or Min for the crit rate/damage buff.

Should you roll Alicia?

Alicia's damage is amazing but it's comparable to a well-built Seo.

They work in a similar way as they both scale HARD with weapon and character dupes, but considering Seo is a release character people might have rerolled for her and have her at a significant investment level already, making Alice more of a luxury and less of a need - plus, she was also featured in the Bonus Shop so spenders will have at least one copy of her. Of course, you can pair them together to make your Cerberus experience much less painful and she'll be a valuable asset for any Water-advantaged content in the near future.

At A5 her damage is actually close if not better compared to Cha so if you roll for her you won't be disappointed. She is very powerful for people aiming for 'speedruns' given she is ranged and has great mobility.

Even at lower investment levels, you can use Alicia as the perfect partner for Seo, giving her more shields and holding the Guardian set to let Seo focus on throwing hands.

Investment levels
  • For F2P: If you have the resources Alicia is a great addition to your roster. However, if you already rolled for Cha and have Seo you might want to consider skipping Alicia until we know who the next rate up is.

  • If you are a dolphin or low spender we suggest getting a copy, as between the Capsule Draw event and her point event you can get her weapon to at least A2 and secure a strong dps/support for your account.

  • For high spenders Alice's damage at A5 is great but you should decide if she's worth your money and resources, considering you might already have an A5 Cha/Seo.

Best Weapons

For SSR characters, you always want to use their Signature/EX Weapon - they are simply the best for them. Until you obtain the signature weapon, just use the options listed below. The priority is set from left to right. Also, If you have a Signature/EX weapon for a Hunter that is not in your team you can consider using it for the raw stats alone - as long as it matches the character.
