Review
The Manager of La Manchaland Don Quixote or Manager Don in short, is a very potent DPS Identity that synergizes very well with other Bloodfiends IDs and the Bloodfeast mechanic. This allows Manager Don to enhance her skills and effectively possess 8 unique skills.
Before we start, let's discuss her unique mechanic first. Like other Bloodfiends IDs, she has a unique stackable status called Hardblood. When Manager Don or another ally consumes Bloodfeast she will gain 2 Hardblood. This amount of Hardblood can also be gained if another ally takes Bleed damage up to a maximum of 3 times per turn.
Hardblood status has 3 stages which change with every 10 Hardblood stacks gained and provide the following benefits:
Raise Min & Max Speed values by 1 for every 10 Hardblood stacks.
At Hardblood II, gain 1 Offense Level Up for every 5 stacks of Hardblood at turn start.
At Hardblood III, gain 1 Offense Level Up and Defense Level Up for every 5 stacks of Hardblood at turn start.
When you have 15+ Hardblood her leftmost skill becomes enhanced if the following units are participating in the encounter or are defeated
The Priest of La Manchaland Gregor - allows for Enhanced Skill 1.
The Barber of La Manchaland Outis - allows for Enhanced Skill 2.
The Princess of La Manchaland Rodion - allows for Enhanced Defensive Skill.
The Manager of La Manchaland Don Quixote - allows for Enhanced Skill 3.
Now let us take a look at her skills:
Skill 1, Enough is Enough - 2 Coin Skill, Base Roll - 11, Conditionals met - 15. Just a Hardblood generation skill.
Skill 1-1, Variant Sancho Hardblood Arts 6 - Whip - 3 Coin Skill, Base Roll - 13, Conditionals met -19. Great for Bloodfeast generation, while 20 Bleed may look daunting she heals 50% HP based on damage dealt (max 20) which essentially negates her 20 Bleed damage.
Skill 2, Let All Blossom Free - 2 Coin Skill, Base Roll - 16 Conditionals met - 20. Damage skill that excels against multiple enemies and scales with the amount of Bleed & Bloodfeast stacks consumed.
Skill 2-1, Variant Sancho Hardblood Arts 8 - Split Apart - 3 Coin Skill Base Roll - 13, Conditionals met - 19. Similar to her normal Skill 2 but with easier conditionals and an extra Coin. Generally, better to use other enhanced skills, as this provides only a minor upgrade to her normal Skill 2.
Skill 3, I Shall Impale - 3 Coin skill, Base roll - 17, Conditionals met - 23. Great skill to nuke or finish off a single enemy as it generates both Bloodfeast and Hardblood after attack if the target is defeated.
Skill 3-1, Ascendant Sancho Hardblood Arts - La Sangre - 4 Coin skill, Base roll 25, Conditionals met - 36. Similar to her normal Skill 3 but BETTER in every way. Not only does it have the highest rolling skill in the game as of writing this review, but it is also Unbreakable Coin meaning it will always land no matter what if you ever somehow lose a clash with it. The conditionals are also way easier now. The property of the normal skill 3 being a great finisher is now even better due to spreading Bleed across enemies if the target is defeated.
Defensive Skill, Laughters Will Subside - 2 Coin Skill, Max Skill Power - 13, Applies Shimmering [Bloodfiend] to 1 ally with the least HP (max 15 per turn) which is a shield that can also absorb Bleed damage and generate Bloodfeast. Great for keeping someone like Priest Gregor alive if he ever gets too low.
Enhanced Defensive Skill, Variant Sancho Hardblood Arts 15 - Buildup to Finale - 2 Coin skill, Max Skill Power - 16. The same as her normal Defensive Skill but with more Shimmering [Bloodfiend] targets.
Unlike other Bloodfiend Identities, Don stacks up Hardblood extremely fast and in some cases might even be able to use enhanced skill from turn 2. While only the leftmost skills will be enhanced, that is only 1 enhanced use per turn, but it is a fair limitation considering how much damage Manager Don can output. However, to access enhanced skills, She NEEDS to be in the same team with the other La Manchaland IDs.
With the La Manchaland Identities in stow, Manager Don turns into a powerhouse of a DPS. Especially with her enhanced Skill 3 which can output an absurd amount of damage. While the team-building limitation might be a problem for some players, it is her only real downside and drawback, as using her outside of Bleed AND La Manchaland team will decrease her performance significantly.
Overall, Manager Don is a straightforward DPS who is very specific and restrictive in terms of which Identities to pair her with as a team but rewards players with very potent damage output.
Yearning-Mircalla gives Manager Don another nuke option that can make use of Bloodfeast stacks consumed.
