Review

Wow, it's hard to believe that they powercrept Shi Don. Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Ryoshu or Heishou Ryoshu for short is an ID that utilizes Rupture and Haste to deal damage while also maintaining a neutral Rupture Count. Usually, Heishou Ryoshu is paired with Heishou Outis to make full use of their unique debuff, but she can also work independently.

Heishou Ryoshu has a unique status that can be gained by using her Skill 3 or Defensive Skill, gaining 3 Strider [Mao] upon use. What it does is give 5 Haste next turn for a total of 3 turns which bumps up her speed range from 4-7 to 9-12 which is just a slap in the face for Cinq IDs. The downside is that you need 10+ Speed to make full use of her kit. So without another source of Haste, she has a 25% chance of not being able to utilize her kit.

She also has a unique debuff called Deathrite [Haste]. What it does is if Rupture is activated by a unit with 10+ Speed it loses 1 stack of Deathrite [Haste] to inflict +1 Rupture Count, this can be done 3 times before it hits 0 stacks where it will deal Gluttony damage based on Rupture Potency making it a mini Sinking Deluge essentially. This debuff also makes her Rupture Count positive on top of that.

Just a tip if you’re running both Heishou do not use Skill 3 twice in a row as it will waste Deathrite [Haste] stacks.

With that out of the way, we can now delve into her Skills:

  • Skill 1 - Blinkstep - 2 Coin Skill - Base Roll 11, Max Roll 15 - Honestly a very good Skill 1 as it rolls quite high and is essentially a 3 Coin Skill when dealing damage if the conditions are met.

  • Skill 2 - As Written - 2 Coin Skill - Base Roll 16, Max Roll 20 - Nothing too impressive, the only notable thing is neutral Rupture Count and Haste to guarantee 10 Speed.

  • Skill 3 - I’ll gut you with a curse-engraved blade - 3 Coin Skill - Base Roll 17, Max Roll 26 - Neutral Rupture Count and completely positive 3 Rupture Count through Deathrite [Haste]. If you have 10+ speed Heishou Ryoshu will single handedly activate Deathrite [Haste] completely and then renew it. On top of that, it also renews Strider [Mao]

  • Power Counter - Strider. Unleashed. Heh - 1 Coin Skill - Max roll 12 - Gives the user 3 Strider [Mao].

Heishou Ryoshu does an incredible amount of damage while also maintaining a neutral Rupture Count without Deathrite [Haste]. Unlike Outis, she does not have the issue of unopposed attack conditionals, thereby allowing her to just focus on clashing.
