Heishou Pack is their name and Speed is their game. The Heishou Pack - Mao Branch are units that gain massive Speed and inflict a debuff, which is immensely helpful in maintaining Rupture Count. Heishou Pack Outis, specifically, is Heishou Pack Ryoshu’s partner and while both of them work very well independently, having both on a single team helps a lot to maintain Rupture Count on an enemy with their unique debuff.

The main gimmick of Heishou Pack - Mao Branch Outis comes from its S3 and Counter, where upon using either of those, she will gain 3 Strider [Mao].

Strider[Mao] simply gives the unit 5 Haste for 3 entire turns, which single-handedly increases Outis’ Speed range from 4-7 to 9-12 instead.

Next is Deathrite [Haste], which is inflicted only from Outis’ S3. What it does is that when Rupture is triggered on a target by an attack from a unit with 10+ Speed, it loses 1 Stack and the target gains +1 Rupture Count. With it Outis’s S1 becomes Rupture Count Neutral, her S2 becomes Rupture Count Positive, inflicting +2 Rupture Count, and 1 more Rupture Count if the attack is unopposed, and her S3 becomes Rupture Count Positive, inflicting +2 Rupture Count if her attack is unopposed. Deathrite [Haste] can only stack up to 3 times and can’t gain additional stacks when it’s already active. At 0 Stack, the enemy will take Gluttony damage equal to their Rupture Potency and then it’ll expire.

This requires strategy if you’re running both Heishou Pack Outis and Ryoshu. In Outis’ case, she inflicts Deathrite [Haste] with her S3 on her first coin, making the skill completely positive for Rupture Count if it’s an unopposed attack, and when Outis is at 10+ Speed, she can inflict Deathrite [Haste] again on reuse of the third Coin of the skill so that either Heishou Ryoshu can proc the stacks immediately after Outis or Outis can use these stacks herself next turn. You never want to use Heishou Outis’ S3 and then Heishou Ryoshu’s S3, because you’re wasting 3 whole stacks of Deathrite [Haste] that way.

With all of that covered, we will go over her skills:

  • Skill 1 - Blinkstep - 2 Coin Skill - Base Roll 10, Max Roll 14 - This skill does a respectable amount of damage for a Skill 1, clashing is on the lower end though. The most significant detail of this S1 is that at 10+ Speed, the Coin will be reused.

  • Skill 2 - Perforating Kill - 2 Coin Skill - Base Roll 16, Max Roll 20 - This skill inflicts a neutral amount of Rupture Count, with it being positive if the skill is unopposed, inflicting +1 Rupture Count. You can gain up to 2 Haste next turn, and the final coin of this skill deals +30% more damage when this unit is at 10+ Speed.

  • Skill 3 - Cursewrit Butcherblade - 3 Coin Skill - Base Roll 17, Max Roll 26 - This skill inflicts a neutral amount of Rupture Count through Deathrite [Haste] and it becomes positive if the skill is unopposed, inflicting +2 Rupture Count. The first coin inflicts 3 Deathrite [Haste], which as said before, is incredible for proccing Rupture Potency and doing additional damage with Rupture in Gluttony Damage. When Outis has 10+ Speed, the final coin of this skill will be reused and inflicts 3 Deathrite [Haste] again.

  • Power Counter - Partial Heishou Mutation - 1 Coin Skill - Max roll 12 - This skill gives the user 3 Strider [Mao].

Going beyond Deathrite [Haste], this ID does a respectable amount of damage, with the S2 being there primarily for Rupture Count infliction. Outis’ passive can also let her do up to +15% more damage for every Strider [Mao] she has if the target has Deathrite. Something that’s probably an oversight with this ID is their high amount of Speed, which generally makes it hard to avoid clashes thus making it a double-edged sword. Regardless, even without the Rupture team, this ID is very solid to have.

Notable Team/ID Synergy
  • [Heishou Pack - Mao Branch] Ryoshu - Allows for more Deathrite [Haste] triggers.

Notable E.G.O Synergy
  • Ebony Stem - Makes all of her skills Rupture Count neutral.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Very high amounts of Speed, giving very easy access to her +10 Speed conditionals.

  • Deathrite [Haste] is an incredible debuff to help a Rupture team maintain Count while also proccing Potency as often as possible.

  • Great and consistent damage output.

Cons

  • Strider [Mao] can work against her. The high amount of Speed makes it harder to avoid clashes, which is essential to this character’s gimmick.

  • 25% of not activating conditionals outside of Skill 2 due to speed range.
