Game Modes

Etheria: Restart features a plethora of PVE and PVP game modes available already on the game's release. While most of them revolve around killing things as fast and as efficiently as possible, each of the modes has different rules and enemies that force you to adjust your approach to deal with them. In this guide, we will go over all the modes, how they work and what you can obtain from them.
Grim Pursuit

Grim Pursuit is a mode where you have to kill a boss, well 9 different bosses. Furthermore, each boss stage is split into different difficulties and the difficulties change based on the boss, for example: Jacques has Basic and Hard difficulties available while Astarte has Hard, Nightmare and Inferno difficulties.
The main reward from the mode are Shells that are equivalent of weapons in Etheria: Restart. Progressing through the various bosses - and their difficulties - will unlock higher rarity Shells that can drop. Different bosses drop different Shells, so you have to choose wisely which one do you want to farm.

Threshold

Threshold is another boss-fighting mode, but here you will only face 3 bosses - Terromaton, DokiDoki and Aurora. Each of the challenges is split into multiple difficulties raging from Basic to Cataclysm - there are 14 difficulties in total.
The main reward from the mode are Modules that are equivalent of gear in Etheria: Restart. Progressing through the various bosses - and their difficulties - will unlock higher rarity Modules that can drop. Also, each of the three bosses drops different gear sets (called Matrix Effects here), so depending on the team you're using and what you're aiming for, you might want to focus one of the bosses more over the others.
Also keep in mind that while each of the bosses can drop 7 different sets, some only can drop from the higher difficulties.

Investigation

Investigation is a wave-based content with normal enemies - seems we're getting some break from facing the pesky bosses! This mode is pretty simple. It's split into 25 stages that reward EXP materials (called Investigation Records) and the amount of them you receive increases with each stage - so it's important to progress as 'deep' as possible to maximize the rewards. As you will need a lot EXP materials to level up your characters.
GP Outpost

GP Outpost is a one-wave battle content with normal enemies where you can farm Anima Imprints that are used to upgrade your characters skills.Though, using the materials farmed here, you're not leveling the skills themselves (for that you need a different, very rare, material that can't be farmed), but rather you upgrade skill nodes that improve the stats of your character (like HP, ATK, DEF and so on). Each of the 3 skills has its own nodes that provide different stats, so the priority you pick is very important (and that also varies from character to character).
Also, the GP Outpost is split into 5 'room' - one for each element available - so again you have to prioritize farming what you actually need.

Anisync Echoes

Compared to the modes above, Anisync Echoes is a one-time clear mode - so once you clear a stage, you can't go back to farm it as there's nothing to farm since you can only obtain the rewards once. You fight here both against wave-type enemies and bosses, so you won't get bored that fast and also you will need to prepare for each battle in a different way.
The rewards you can obtain from this mode are quite varied - random Modules, skill upgrade materials (both the normal ones and the rare ones mentioned earlier - Lattices), and summon tickets.
There are 36 nodes in total to conquer in this mode and there's even a leaderboard so you can compare your progress to others on your server!
Also, don't get baited! The last difficulty within each node rewards you with an avatar, not the character copy!
Phantom Theater

Phantom Theater is the first CO-OP PVE mode available in Etheria: Restart! You can team up with two other players to conquer bosses that have different elements and you have to counter them - this means that gathering a party of friends who can tackle the other two elements you're not so good against is very important. Though keep in mind that the battles here are auto-only, so you have to make sure the team you use works well without manual input. The more damage you and your friends will do, the better the rating you will receive which translates to better rewards!
Also, have no fear! If your friends aren't online, you can use the matchmaking feature to be paired with other players.
You can challenge the bosses daily and do it unlimited amount of times - only your highest score will count for the daily rewards. To make things interesting, every week the formation of bosses will update, forcing you to adjust your teams.
The rewards here are pretty varied again - on top of Hydra Crystals(premium currency) you can obtain Character EXP materials, andShadowprints (used to ascend characters to higher stars).
Ember

Ember is a tower-like mode with 30 stages waiting for you to conquer (and there's also two difficulties available - Basic and Hard - so it's 60 in total). Though compared to the other modes, here you don't enter the battle instantly, but rather each floor is a mini-world that you traverse - filled with enemies, chests and other stuff!
The rewards are one time, but they are pretty great - you can even get 6-star Shadowprints (used for ascending characters) and SSR Perfect Lattices (used to upgrade skills) from some floors! On top of those, you will obtain Leiboz Supply Points that you can use to spin the wheel and obtain even more goodies. So it's a mode that's definitely worth doing.
EtherNet Rally

The next mode, EtherNet Rally, is a rogue-like mode where you have to pick your path to reach the final boss, gathering supplies along the way. If you played other gacha games, the term Labyrinth should be familiar to you - EtherNet Rally is exactly that.
The mode is split into 3 different regions that match the R/G/B elements: Reason, Odd and Hollow. And each region forces a limitation upon you - you can only use characters belonging to that element there. Thankfully, character belonging to the L/D elements (Constant and Disorder) can be used in all 3 maps, so if you're lacking good characters for one element, they will help you out.
While the 3 regions are separate of each other, they do meet sometimes at so called Collapse Points and here things get a bit tricky. You will have to defeat the enemies there twice - using both area's teams.
To make things easier for you, there are several nodes with supplies and additional help: for example you can gather Modules that buff your characters in the region or find Recruitment nodes where you can recruit a strong character to help you out!
The mode resets every 2 weeks, so you can obtain all the rewards there from scratch!
