Gacha System
Etheria: Restart uses a gacha system as the primary way for a player to obtain new Characters, but compared to other games, Shells (the equivalent of weapons in E:R) are fully farmable and you can't pull them from a banner.
Summoning
To access the gacha system in Etheria: Restart, you have to open the Summon screen (available in the top corner menu). To roll on any of the banners, you will need to use either Hydra Crystals (the gacha currency) or Anima Prototype / Apex Prototype which are the gacha tickets.
- You can exchange 100 Hydra Crystals for 1 Anima Prototype,
- You can exchange 300 Hydra Crystals for 1 Apex Prototype (though the option is only available on the rate-up banner),
- Anima Prototype are used to summon on the Red/Blue/Green banners (both permanent and rate-up),
- Apex Prototype are used to summon on the Dark/Light banners (both permanent and rate-up).
Hydra Crystals, Anima Prototype and Apex Prototype can be obtained from various in-game sources such as missions, events, and shops.
You can obtain the following from summoning:
- R Characters,
- SR Characters,
- SSR Characters.
As we mentioned earlier, Shells can't be obtained from the gacha system and instead you have to farm them from PVE content. So this means you're only pulling for the characters in Etheria: Restart.
Summon Shop

When pulling, you will obtain Anima Crystal every time you pull a duplicate of a character you already possess. Those can be exchanged in a special shop for a variety of items (visible on the image above). The shop also resets every 30 days.
Directed Summon

Information about this banner:
- You can only summon 40 times on the Directed Summon and you are guaranteed to obtain one SSR Character within the 40 summons,
- You cannot do single summons on the Directed Summon. You can only summon in multiples of 10 (commonly referred to as a ten pull or a multi pull),
- The rate for pulling a SSR Character from this banner is currently set at 1%,
- The rate for pulling a SR from this banner is currently set at 9%,
- You can select 1 SSR character that you want to obtain from the banner and when you pull a SSR character, it will be the one you have selected,
- In the previous Closed Beta, you could select a Red/Blue/Green character (called Original Animus) from a pool of 12 characters,
- So basically this banner is a selector banner, allowing you to start the game with an SSR character of your choice,
- You can only use Anima Prototype to summon on this banner.
