(this 'Turn Start' effect does not activate repeatedly) If 2+ allies are defeated in a single turn, and if this unit's SP isn't at -45 at Turn End, reset SP to 20; then, enter the Volatile E.G.O::Waxen Pinion state. If this unit gets Staggered due to damage or raised Stagger Threshold when entering the Volatile E.G.O state, recover from Stagger. If the Stagger is something that cannot be naturally recovered from, this unit does not enter the Volatile E.G.O state. Gain Volatile Passion while in the Volatile E.G.O state. Turn Start: At 0 or less SP, exit the Volatile E.G.O::Waxen Pinion state.

So. It's the first ever Identity in the game to get a direct buff - and two buffs at that.
Dawn Office Sinclair is an Identity where your game plan is to simply just gain Sanity to enter a different, more powerful state. His kit in its weaker form is pretty run-down-the-mill and average. Dawn Office Sinclair has a pretty bad S1 that rolls a 10, S2 that rolls a 14, with +1 Clash Power when its Burn conditional is active, and S3 that rolls an 18, with +1 Coin Power for every 7 Burn on target up to 2 times. The main selling point of this Identity, and why he's rated so high on the tier list, is his Volatile EGO state. To enter this state, you must be at 40 or above SP, in which Sinclair will consume 20 SP on turn start, leaving you at 25 SP. I should mention here that this Sinclair identity has unique Sanity mechanics where his SP rises significantly faster than any other Identity in the game, making his 40 SP condition pretty much a cakewalk to reach. After entering the Volatile EGO state, you will inflict 1 Burn with every hit, gain 1 Final Power on any of your skills if the target has Burn, and when you're hit when you have a defense skill up, it'll inflict Burn against the attacker. Additionally, you'll gain access to the second part of Sinclair's passive where you gain 1 or 2 Coin Power when you're at 20+ and 40+ SP respectively, and at 45 SP, you'll gain +3 Coin Power instead.
This all comes with a catch, however, where you'll start losing SP by the end of every turn, with the amount you lose being the number of turns while in a Volatile EGO state multiplied by 5 (It's maximum being 40 SP). While it's not too hard to counteract this by using support passives or ego to help him heal SP, it is something you need to be aware of as you'll lose the Volatile EGO state if your SP reaches 0 or lower. You can use support passives to upkeep Sinclair's SP, like Base Yi Sang, Base Hong Lu, N Faust, etc. Even with just Base Yi Sang and Base Hong Lu as support, you have 2 turns with the Volatile ego state until you start losing more SP than you gain.
All of that being said, the difference Volatile EGO has when it comes to Sinclair's skills is like night and day. His S1 can roll up to 14 for clashes now, and 25 for damage if you get his Reuse Coin off, his S2 will now roll up to 24 and is AoE, which makes taking down waves of enemies significantly easier as well as spreading a lot of burn to multiple enemies at a time, making his conditionals with Burn a lot more easier to fulfill, and his S3 now changing to a type of S4, which is a Burn Nuke that gains +2 Coin Power for every 4 Burn Potency on all enemies, making this skill roll up to 36, with additional coin power coming from his passive and the +1 Final Power. Not only that, but this S4 can also gain up to 240% Bonus Damage on its own from two conditions, +120% from Wrath Absolute Resonance, which you need 5 of, and +120% from Burn Potency, which you need 30 of. Finally, the defense skill on this ID is very, very good. Gaining 20 Base Power for every 2 Burn on the target, making it roll up to 40.
All of this combined makes Dawn Office Sinclair an all-around amazing damage dealer for a burn team but can support himself on his own due to how much burn he inflicts due to his passive and Volatile EGO state. Although in the default state, Dawn Office Sinclair is definitely on the below-average side of strength. Something you should note is that it helps a lot to build around his passive, where getting the 5 Wrath for his passive is mandatory as it's a very key part of his kit. This shouldn't be difficult with a burn team.
Notable E.G.O. Synergy
None
S4 is a very high damaging nuke, better than Ryoshu's Fourth Match Flame
Extremely good burn infliction across all of his skills thanks to Passive
Gains SP extremely quick thanks to unique Sanity effects
SP Drain can be very problematic if you're not playing around it or paying attention
Dawn Office Sinclair's default state can struggle very hard in fights
Pretty high stagger bars with low HP, he can die pretty quickly when hit with blunt attacks
In this section we have listed best E.G.O.s, one per their rank for the Identity - starting with Zayin from left.
